Amazing how time skews some peoples memory. Sammut only played one game at St Helens for Hull, which we lost 27-14.

I think it works the other way as well. Last night we watched the DVD of Leeds v Hull at Headingley in 2006. Because I have quite a few DVDs of the 2005 and 2006 season, particularly games in which Shayne McMenemy made a really telling contribution, he's becoming more of a legend each year in my eyes. Confused as to whether he was really a journeyman backrower with a decent boot on him, or whether seeing him score 2 in the semi at the Galpharm and force the error that led to us winning the cup umpteen times means he's an All Time FC Great.

Anyone remember a fat useless prop forward called dave brown who came across in the late 80's? Hardly played and was sent home early because he was garbage and lazy. We did sign some rubbish in the late 80's and early 90's

He didnt have a bad game - I remember this game and he scored a try that should of been given, he placed the ball down in front of the hull fans then Wellens came across and booted it away and we got a drop out IIRC!
