| Golden boy Whiting cost us two trys and yes Westy made mistakes but was still our best attacking threat. How Whiting got fans player of the year ahead of Manu,Yeaman,Briscoe,Westy and Houghton is beyond me. Oh and get rid of Washbrook not good enough.

What was wrong with his observation from where I was sat he's got it spot on? He did hand them 12 points and he did cost us an easy 6 points. I've watched it on Sky plus again and it was there for all to see but obviously I must be on glue too!!
Whiting was another culprit who was extremely poor but he will always get stood up by any winger worth his salt which as been proved a few times this year.

| You can not go up against a top side like Warrington with out a proper half back pairing we lost Obst early on , Westerman is and always will be a lose man. We was lucky not to get more put past us.For me we are not at the stage where we can challenge the top 4 (we should be ) . I am not expecting to get passed the first round I will still be going and cheering them on but the season is over the King is dead long live the king {[iPeter [/i[iGentle[/i) roll on next season and see what he can do with our squad .I remember Brian Smith coming and turning us round from dead beats to world beaters .Lets hope this Peter Gentle has the same effect . 16000 there last night very good vocal following from The Wire fans they deserved it lets hope we are in the same position next season

Yeah I thought that for a SuperLeague winger Whiting had a shocker. Let's face it we all know how bad his defence is after last week. No vision, no commitment. In fact I'd get rid!

Maybe because he has been the most consistent player this season?

Maybe, but if we aspire to be a top 4 side like most posters on here believe we should be, then he isn't our answer at right centre or wing.

We can leave that up to the new coach to decide.

| The try when Atkins had Whiting on the outside wasn't even a lack of pace because he got hold of him, which was more frustrating.
I think if Westy had passed the ball for that try Monaghan would have intercepted I think, which would have got even more criticism!

| If you get a top coach, he won't have Whiting in the side every week. Hull fans seem to appreciate his grafting, Jack-of-all-trades type stuff but ultimately he isn't the type of athlete required unless he can bulk up and do a job in the pack.

Agree now that his days on the wing should be over. As for bulking up ideally he would, but he runs the ball back on kick returns harder than some of our forwards do.

| Just think yes last week he was outstanding but he isn't near our top 4 this year.

| I was surprised at the half time score line, you absolutely hammered us! We just took every single chance we got.

we've tried a few times to bulk him up though, haven't we?
and Ellam, it's easy to be outstanding against a poor Castleford side, a Warrington side with the League Shield on the line is a totally different prospect.
FWIW w did well to stay within 20ish points of them.
