Seems for all the people slating the Hull fans for hounding him out and not being given a chance by Pearson etc it looks as though he may have been tipped off by someone about a takeover and taken a 3 year deal elsewhere.

Those people are idiots. The Hull fans expressed their dissatisfaction with Agar's inept performance over his entire tenure, which they had every right to do. As far as I'm aware, no one went round to his house and threw eggs at his window or posted nasty letters through his door. In this last season, many fans decided to vote with their feet in order to try and bring about a change in the board's/owner's attitude to the head coach position. This is hardly 'hounding' a person out.

And what was Pearson to do exactly? He had invested in a club which had already seen a significant drop in gates. If he'd have kept Agar in post for next year, it is almost certain that gates would have dropped still further and he'd have started losing money. Any businessman has to protect his investment over and above noble notions like 'giving someone a chance'.

I'd say the list of players whose career he supposedly launched was incorrect. The assertion that he had a 'successful' spell at Hull is also fairly wide of the mark.

Utterly bemused as to how Agar has managed to get another coaching job in SL even if it is only Wakey.

Think the time is right or even overdue for change for us but all the same I'd still like to wish him luck.

I suppose there's always the chance that he could be a Roy Hodgson type character: nice bloke, does ok at a small club with limited resources, but can't cut the mustard at a big club. He might just get Wakey to consistently be challenging for 8th spot, which, given the problems they've had of late, would be a big achievement for them.

He will take them higher up the table then they are now, instant success

Looks like Andy Wilson was right all along.

The bloke set us back years, wasted 4 seasons with his inept coaching, recruiting and tactics, failed to develop any youngsters good enough for SL, Houghton and Briscoe aside, amazed he got anothe job in SL, feel sorry for Wakey, good riddance Rich!

Took a lot of stick for it aswell.
