He must however be deluded if like in his past interviews he thinks the two clubs would merge , the rivalry is fantastic .
personally i think Allam will end up getting the KC stadium , which surely can only be a good thing for Hull FC.'"
The only thing it can't be is GOOD, this would be a nightmare for FC and Hull in general IMO and i would be very concerened as a City fan!!

| as long as we had a lease of sufficient length, I can't see a problem with this, surely the council can stipulate that we must have certain rights as a tenant

| Surely there would be an issue that this was built to be a community stadium - not privately owned??

I think it would be, straight off the A63, close to the Priory Park and Ride. Wouldnt be my first choice though

| "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts" or in this case the Allams. You do not become a multi-millionaire business man by being altruistic, and anybody who thinks the Allams want the KC and surrounding fair ground site in order to give something back to the city are deluding themselves. If that is the case why has it taken so long to discover their civic generosity?
If, when, they gain control of the KC and fairground then Hull FC"s days at that stadium are numbered. The Allams will pull out all the stops to get Hull City AFC into the premiership. Once that happens and they have control and ownership, forget redevelopment that simply will not happen. What will happen is that they will sell out to the highest bidder. There are plenty of foreign billionaires that want a slice of the premiership pie. The Allams will walk away with a huge profit.
Where will that leave Hull FC?
I'll tell you where. Out on our ear, no premiership owner will want RL spoiling their stadium. Forget cast iron tenancy agreements, when you have the money you can bog down for years any dispute in the law courts. If the council do sell don't expect any where near the 45 million it cost to build the stadium. The Allams won't be interested in paying a fair price and the council will certainly not be interested in spending 15 - 20 million on building another stadium. The new councillors that have just been elected may not be the sharpest tools in the box but even they can see that committing to a second stadium would be political suicide.
For the sake of RL in this city the council need to give a firm NO to the Allums plans.

That sums the situation up perfectly for me. We pay roughly £1/2m to play at the KC which is about 1% of the turnover of a decent sized premiership outfit and anyone owning a premier league club that plays at the KC would want us out pronto. Anyone who thinks that lease agreements are cast iron is kidding themselves. Allam wants the KC so he can borrow against it. He can't do that unless he gets it for significantly less than it's worth and the council won't be spending any money they get on another stadium

| its scary stuff, another david lloyd situation or possibly worse, hope hull are going over 'what if' scenarios in the board room, we need to be prepared, ive got a very bad feeling about all this, the fact he is getting cosy with hudgell has got to have hull fc on high alert, hudgell would not miss an opportunity to hurt hull as we all know and is one sly barsteward

I totally agree that selling the KC would be distastrous for FC and would leave the stadium & anything else tied up with the sale in the hands of god knows who in 5 or 6 years time.
Certainly as rugby fans we would never get anything like the facilities that the KC provides nor somewhere as centralised. Who really wants a 14k capacity stadium that isn't fully covered or enclosed, because you'll never get the board investing in paying out for one even with grants & a pay-off from the council (i.e. we own a ground)
Equally I couldn't see the council coughing up £25-£30M for something like Saints new stadium either.
As a side note Jake, your 1% of turnover comparative of an average PL team is a little bit askew, even Man Utd only turned over (a record) £290M in 2009/10.

| Think we have a case as had to sell council The Boulevard as part of getting in to KC .
Hull City never even owned there ground.
Then the Council made sure we had no where to go by pulling The Boulevard down as we showed interest back in it .
Conspiracy Theory

£0.5m is 1% of £50m, which I would expect is a fairly average turnover given they get about £30m a year from SKY. It's .17% of man utds turnover
