Hit 900 on Monday

| so looking at the list there is an outside chance he could get into third place, assuming he does another four years or so at the club

Done in 43 games, Vaikona's 40 in '97 was from 32 games and is an even better ratio, Schofield's 37 from 33 in his first season was pretty amazing.
If Sullivan had being at a better club during the 60s/70s I reckon he would have bagged a lot lot more tries.
Next in line for Tickle is Lee Crooks's 947 points.
And Yeamo could get 2nd, IF he bags 20 tries a season for 4 years plus some from this one that'll put him very close to Watts!

Vaikona - 79 tries from 95 games for Hull, awesome stats and one of my all time favorites to watch. He would have been well placed in the top ten try scorers for the club if he hadn't been deemed not good enough for Super League, shocking decision.

Looking at that list I can see Yeaman reaching third on the list.

Yeah I know, and I know Vaikona was sad to leave the club, but I'm sure we would have kept him if we could have done.

What makes you say that? Why couldn't we have kept him?

I'm sure at the time I remeber the club trying to explain the sale of Vaikona was in the best interest of the club as they felt he was un proven at Super League level and the money generated from his sale was vital in the bid for the 3 saints players - Booth, Prescott and Hunte who were seen as more established Super League players and therefore was seen as a better choice moving forward. Sure this was a Hull Daily Mail piece.
I'm sure someone on here can clarify what reason was given for the Sale of Tevita after our promotion when he was by far our best asset.

We wanted the cash IMO, and he wanted to further his career.
I didn't think he wasn't deemed good enough for SL, but stand corrected if I am wrong

You might be right mate, they had to reason it somehow. I just thought they wanted the cash, and seem to remember although upset, Vaikona saw it as a move up to Bradford (arguably rightly), hence the song had changed "slightly" when he came back to play us

To be fair I was quite young at the time and it is a bit hazy, surely this must have been a smoke screen though as our medical report can't have been much different to Bradfords yet they pushed through a deal at the time for decent money.
I was gutted at the time he was sold off then even more so when we saw how Hunte faired, only decent thing to come out of that transfer merry go round was Preccie.
