Harrison also won the MC didn't he? Must have been an exceptional man.

As an aside, I visited the British war cemetry in Bayeux a couple of years back whilst on holiday in France. very moving experience

He did and he was. His MC citation appeared in The London Gazette on 17 April 1917 and his VC citation on 14 June 1917 - less than two months apart. His acts of bravery actually occurred on 20 February (MC) and 3 May (VC)

Here's the positive plaster cast that the mould was made from to cast the bronze plaque for Jack's memorial at the KC
