| The crowd gasping every time he catches the ball or the ironic cheers wont do the kids confidence any good. Hull fans have a history of doing this to their players, Hall, Tony, Blacklock etc etc....... It also concerns me the lack of support he gets from the senior players after said errors whilst stood under the posts on his own waiting for the kicks.

The ball should have been dealt with before it ever got to Sharp though. After that, he should have cleaned it up.
Other than that I thought he had a good game, carried the ball up well, made an excellent break and generally looked busy. Was pretty impressed with his performance, but the treatment some fans gave him was out of order IMO (when he caught the ball after his balls up and that sarcastic cheer went up and when some booed him off when he got subbed).

| he got a warm round of applause when he came off, just as the ball came over the top some bloke behind me sarcastically shouted 'for f@ck sake sharp don't you dare touch it' after the bradford player scored off the subsquent mistake the same bloke launched into a tirade of abuse directed at sharp , some people really are idiots. i thought a made some good yards with the ball in hand but he needs some work and maybe bulking up a bit.

I agree it should have been dealt with but he still made an awful mess of it and should really have dealt with it a lot better. That apart I thought he played well, was good with the ball and constantly made yards.

| He did make good yards. Needs to be more composed though, kicking the ball twice when it really didnt warrant it. Take the tackle Will!!

| So Sharp makes one error last night and is getting slated for it.
I see there is no thread questioning Yeaman, for Bradford first try?
Or what about the players who missed tackles in the middle of the park for the other try in the first half??

The lad works his socks off each and every game so to suggest he is deliberately making errors is not only wrong but down right disrespectful.'"
That side of our defence has been rubbish for years now, its a training ground issue. he made one blob to let in a try. The idiots getting on his back was embarrassing to me as a Hull fan.

Yeamon has been our bet player this season IMO. Sharp has done nothing great and cost us tries. I don't dislike him, but it is a fact nonetheless

| After that second half clanger, I said to my wife, remember when Motu Tony got the starting full back role and he kept making errors in the first few games, and he got the ironic cheers when he did collect the ball from a kick, you just wait when Sharp does the same. Glad to know the morons in the stadium didn't let me down.
What these idiots should know that any sportsman in any sport can suffer from lack of confidence after making mistakes. Do people think that anyone does these things on purpose? To anybody with an IQ lower than their shoe size, here's a little tip. Giving it the ironic cheers isn't going to help, ok?
You can see the lad is keen for work, and gives it plenty of effort with ball in hand, so give the guy a break.

Quite agree. One moron behind me booed him as he went off. Individual players should never be booed or jeered, IMO.
A couple of clanglers last night from Will but he will learn and become a better player because of them.

I was just being devils advocate and using Yeaman as an example. Although everyone can have their own opinion, mine is that Houghton, Fitzgibbon, Obst and Tickle are by far ahead of Yeaman when it come to our top performer so far.
Other players have cost us tries. Why single out Sharp. Didn't Sharp score in each of our first 4 or 5 games?

Christ, don't look for the positives that he was our top try scorer at one point.
Lets just run with the fact that he's made a few errors and isn't good enough, despite the fact our right side defence is constantly pulled out of position, he makes good yards and clean breaks and knows where the try line is.
