| It was also sharp's fault when we leaked tries down that win last year

| While we're on the subject of poor efforts on kicks, I seem to remember Whiting getting out-jumped by Rangi (the dwarf) Chase on Friday aswell.
Grounds for termination of contract if ever there was.

Briscoe had one bad game so dont see what the comparison is.. sharps been poor to average all season...i think he should be dropped.
A poor mans blacklock from what iv seen so far...hope he turns it around and proves me wrong but up to now im far from impressed...and im not making him a scapegoat by the way, theres a few that dont deserve to be in that 17 but we dont have the options to replace certain players...id give lynne a chance, reckon he could be a real star for the future.
Like some have said, youth players dont seem to be getting much of a chance these days and if we dont try them wel never find out!!

| Do people really feel more comfortable with Lyne on the wing rather than Sharp?

How can you justify asking for someone to be dropped having appeared to have only seen a minutes worth of highlights?
He mis-judged the flight of a kick, knocked it on and was then sent to run behind the entire defensive line, in a race against Chase kicking the ball out there. If he's getting dropped for that then we'd start with about 3 players next week.
We knew when we signed him he is a bit of a loose cannon. He'll make errors but will produce some fine skill and can also guarantee you the work-rate every week. He's not done badly at all so far and as previously mentioned, is close to becoming a scape-goat.

Whiting to the wing when Gleeson comes in.

What a stupid statement.
How can you comapare the 2 players, Reece has been one of the top players in the country since he was 11, his main problem is strenght which will come with FT training, he is still very young and has only played a handful of games, Hull maybe rushed him and it doesn't help playing in a poor side.
He will make an excellent winger given time and the right coaching, much better than Penny.

| It's a bit much to write Lynne off , he's only a kid.
Such an attitude makes him a prime target for the Boo-Boy section of the crowd already.

| Sorry but I just don't think he's all that special. He had two one on one's against the Wakey fullback and tried to run over him both times, could have sidestepped him, kicked it past and ran past but no, just went straight into the waiting arms. Poor wing play.

Being one of the best players in the country as a child does not guarantee a player can perform at SL level. However in Reece's case it is clear he is far from ready at this level, and from what I have seen there are definitely no guarantee's he will ever be ready as there is a lot of work to do with his game. He should though like you say concentrate on his training and building his skills and confidence in the u20s and hopefully he will come good.

It was a tongue in cheek remark based on the fact that they are both lightweight-looking looking wingers whose primary asset is speed, and are/were billed as the next sensation when they came through. It's a fact though that that he's done very little of note in the first team so far to suggest he will live up to his billing, thank goodness he's got Rich Agar to help develop him though, eh?
