Actually, you need both. Either one is no good without the other. I don't think this changes anything with regards to most people's opinions of Agar (certainly not mine), but we did better than most people expected us to do in this game and that deserves some credit at least.

Depends what you mean by 'go well'. If we continue as we are, we'll certainly pick up a few wins against some of the lower calibre opposition. We might even make the top 6 if we get a decent run with injuries. But I don't imagine we'll be a in a position to realistically think about winning anything this season. Or next if Agar stays.

Thank you, that was what I was trying to get across. Of course I'm disappointed that we lost in the last minutes but we have to look at previous displays and realise that we were looking at a hammering today if we'd played like we have done at times this season. We are improving, maybe not as quickly as we want to, but improving all the same.

Go well to me means competing in every game and seeing where that takes you. I don't think we have the players or the coach to win trophies and a new coach won't fix it up overnight but Agar is the man in charge right now and the last three games tells me we are starting to look in better shape. Defensively we have improved a lot from the Rovers game and our kicking game is getting better.

To have a thread entitled 'Proud', after losing a lead to 12 men is an embarrassment to Hull FC IMO.

I'm certainly not going to apologise for preferring to look at the positives instead of dwelling on the negatives. I have a Grandad very ill in hospital and the threat of redundancy hanging over me so any positives right now I'm grabbing on to lol!

We might look in better shape than we have earlier this season, but that's not a particularly good yardstick to use, IMO. Do we look any better than we did last season when we finished 6th? Do we look like we can realistically improve on that position this year?

I agree that a new coach won't fix it up overnight, but the longer it takes to install a new man, the longer it will take until we start to turn things around and start to become serious contenders. You see, I'm not happy for a club of our standing to just 'compete' in every game. I want us to win most of them as well.

So do I but so do Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Wire, Rovers, Hudds and others. We have no god given right to be winning most of our games, I think Hull fans have an overinflated opinion of where we should be.

I am happy we are improving andf whilst I still want a new coach from next season I think Agar will have us challenging for the top 6 which is realistically where we are abouts right now with Hudds and Rovers.
