Presumably as this appears to be a (albeit fortunately timed) blatant way of getting round the quota rule. If Dobson hadn't been injured, Mason would still be on the sauce with the King of Tonga. |

The Board of the rL can be over ruled by the RL Council though I believe!
perhaps someone can also explain how someone who has got a Visa and work permit to be a rugby player and then stops being a rugby player can stay in the country? Intersting stuff!

Been told that a few clubs complained too the rfl about the fact mason was brought across without his tongan passport and against any idea the rfl had of giving him a special discompensation until it arrived.
Can't see the same clubs been too pleased if rovers are allowed to re-register dobson..

Interesting indeed and even more so to see how it all pans out. Quite honestly it makes a mockery of the rules and opens a whole can of worms for the future. |
