Thers an interesting question. Who's the last player/coach? has there been one in superleague? Cant think off top of my head.

Powell?? No thanks..if Agar does end up going then its about time we were treat to a world class coach..no more of this 'on the cheap' nonsence....but as another poster has said lets get behind them and see how the next few weeks pan out!

I think people are being harsh on Daryl Powell here.

Worked under him for two years and he is fantastic. His video is first class, his training sessions are based around small groups working with several different Coaches on key skills that need work which saw a marked improvement in a matter of months in cutting out basic errors noticeable under Hobbs for two years I was there before.

He also managed to turn around the careers of several players who were heading for self destruction and carted off all of the time wasters and drinkers to other clubs (mainly Hunslet and York )

I am not saying he is super man, far from it, Ryan Sheridan is a big part of his success but his knowledge from his time with both codes has given him so great ideas.

Hull FC could do a lot worse than Powell/Sheridan with James Webster as attack Coach if a truly World Class Coach was out of the question.

What about Gary Kemble, Or Even Stephen Kearney.. They Said They Would Love To Coach Us Again.. If They Never The Brian Noble.. Its Time We Got A World Class Coach Now And One Thats Still Unproven. A World Class Coach Brings In World Class Players, And With World Class Players Comes Success..

Simply because there is a deep rooted problem at Hull that needs sorting before any Coach can succeed.

For me any Coach who is able to Coach in both the NRL and Super League without making a total mess of things has proven himself to be World Class as he has coached at the highest level in the two best comps.

Daniel Anderson is a World Class Coach in my opinion.

If, which I think Sheldon is trying to say, you mean someone like Wayne Bennett then I would put them in a group of their own under the heading 'Legendary Coaches'.

It's too big of a job, cant see it ever getting done again unless in a caretaker capacity.

Hudds in 1998 played in 2 games - only lasted 12 as coach due to not having the necessary qualifications.

I take your point, we have a difference in wording.

What you've described is, imo, a good head coach.
