I meant Agars long game, but you are quite right, things have been going steadily downhill for a lot longer.

I do think that people are conveniently associating our nightmare 2008, 2009 seasons with Agar to prove a point. We all know there was more behind those two seasons than just Agar.
However i take the point that we have not seen the style of rugby that was promised to us at the time of his appointment. The lack of an attacking edge has for me been the biggest problem over the years which in turn results in our inability to finish teams off |

TBH I am not considering our 2008/09 seasons, I am thinking about the fact we have only won 3 out of the last 11 games, 2 of those wins were very close encounters and the other against Quins...that kind of tells me we have problems, coaches have been sacked for a lot less. |

Need to put a decent run together to improve on last season - possible but the basics would be a good place to begin the improvement. |

Look I understand why people are angry and why you would automatically blame Agar for all our problems. But there's been a series of blunders that have caused us to fall behind.
The signings of Dykes and Thorman.
Inability to replace mcmenemy and swain.
Peter Sharp signing average aussies.
The Paul Cooke saga.
Injury crisis.
The loss of carvell at the wrong time
The loss of berrigan and tansey pre season
The lack of a quality experienced assistant
Just a few things off the top of my head

realistically we should go abouve last years finish but hey 3 games in !!! |

No one has said we have a right to be top 4. Its just that with a 6th place finish last year that's what should have been the aim when the coach and the board met to discuss the 2011 season and the club objectives. |

And effectively bottom of SL. What a great start. I know you can't win the league in Feb but you can sure as hell make a great effort at losing it. |

I do agree with you on that point. We've certainly dented our chances of finishing higher up in the table |
