| Quote: Dobbo Hull "Thing is with agar, is that hes tactically inept, and he cannot control players.
Fair enough he might be able to discipline them off the pitch for ing it up the wall etc, but where he lacks is authority and respect on the training ground and on the pitch on the day of a game, where it clearly shows that the players are not playing for agar.
Noble will bring discipline, the right form! And those players that do take the mickey, will soon get a boot up their ass.'"
I actually think the players [iare[/i playing for Agar to an extent. I've seen both performances this season and although there have been some pretty poor individual performances I don't think anyone has looked like they don't care. That's only one part of motivation though, where I think Agar really lacks in this area is that while the players for the most part are willing to try for him, they don't really [ibelieve[/i in what it is he is asking them to do. That's something no amount of effort can compensate for.

| I just don't understand how you could tell Noble "you'll have a job only if Hull loose" seems a bit strange.

Is it the 'IF' bit you're struggling with? The way we are playing at the mo, it's not 'if' but when.

| Quote: WestYorksFC "Hi,
I've never posted on the forums but have read them since they started.I am also unhappy with Agar and the current performance of the team. But I honestly believe that if we get rid of Agar without seriously thinking of a quality replacement then we will be in trouble for another 3 years.
Ask any Wigan supporter and they will tell you that Noble is not the answer and i tend to agree.
I would rather have patience with Agar and seek a quality coach than to bring in an incompatible replacement.
Cheers'"
Always makes me giggle when people's alleged first post starts like this.
But as you have raised the issue of BN I would take great issue with the Wigan fans who don't rate him. When he took over the mighty Pies they were destined for relegation. If hadn't been for a couple of fiddles and Noble calling in his mate from the Bulls they would have been relegated. The RFL ensured that the rules were adhered to and they stayed up.
What Nobby did after securing safety was take the club very close to Old Trafford and glory. That from the lowest point of their SL history was not the work of a man who knows nowt about the game and didn't know what he was doing on the training field.
Now it can be argued that he couldn't take the club to the next level, that being GF glory. Now thats a fare point. BUT IF and it is a BIG IF Nobby came to Hull FC and within 18 months had us at the point of playing a final elimination play off match I would see that as massive progress and improvement on where we are heading right now.
If after 18 to 30 months its decided he has taken us as far as he can but that close to OT then we might just be back to where we where in 05 when we had the clout to attract top quality players and won't be losing out as we clearly are now.
If thats not convincing enough to know about the qualities of Nobby then look to Jan 1010 when he had a training field and a coaches role but no team to coach and then look where that club where in September 2010. Nothing short of a miracle.
Add to that the fact he loves a big pack which is the one thing we have and you never know he may well be able to work a miracle or two with our team and with only a couple of games gone. A Peter Sharp esk winning run and the nightmare could become a wonderful dream.

Exactly. Some mischief makers at work here. IMO.

Nonsense - Agar was relieved of his duties on Saturday night! Do keep up.
