Mrs H asked last night why the need to announce this. Its sad really that JR has to waste his time making statements about a man who did not want to play for us despite the support he received throughout his troubles with us. He has since rapidly gone down hill and is now looking at the prospect of almost certainly having to get a proper job as no SL team wants him.
It certainly goes to show how rumours build in Hull and get a little out of hand. Regardless of what Cooke may have been saying in public. I have never met JR in person, but one thing I do know about him and the board is that talk of signings are kept very close to their chest and in most cases we don't hear about them until they are confirmed, so why would this rumour have gathered so much momentum to warrant a statement.
Though as has been said we will probably see statements like this until Cooke is 60 as some seem to want to believe what they hear whilst down the pub.

I must admit I did email Jimmy Rule just because the 'rumour' was getting every were, deep down I knew it would never happen but we all know it is Hull FC and you never know.
