If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

Wasnt the best from Brown was it? Bring Lunt onto the bench to spell Roby and tighten things up in the middle shame we couldnt give him a run out today.

Burgess and Ellis just look on a different level to our other players; surely a real indication to our better players that testing themselves in the NRL will improve them.
Widdop looked the part to me, and Robinson looked like he wanted to seize the opportunity.'"

| Anyone know what's written on the back of the NZ players shirts? It had their names and then something else, maybe their NZ name??

I think it is their name but in the Maori language.

| Thought Briscoe did what was needed of him saved a try, carried the ball strongly and was solid in defence needs more service from Shenton. Hope Moz is ok if he's out then our slim hopes of winning the 4 nations will disappear.

Thought Shenton could have put him away in the 1st half following the break from Burgess.
Was pleasantly surprised about how strong we looked. Our backs for example punched holes. Atkins and Hall looked very strong.

Agree. Must feel comfortable in this isolated role. Home from home. What's wrong with English centres - are they all plain thick? Or is it the coaches for wasting Tom? Agar, close season essay skill versus brains or skill - working within the confines of limited expenditure, how best to maximise these assets?"
Tom did well with his cheeky offload for the second try and foxey steal to save the game. Just needs to start chucking up his arm and yelling with a grimace a la Faumuina.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Yup. Although to be fair to Shenton he wasn't getting much decent ball himself. Didn't help that the completely ineffectual Brown was the HB on that side of the pitch.
Atkins and Hall on the other side are a disaster waiting to happen. Barely a brain cell between them and defensively weak. The Ozzies will run through them at will.

The whole 3/4 line is poor. I think briscoe has plenty of quality and potential but he's nowhere near what I would class as real international standard at present. As for the rest, probably the worst 3/4 line we've fielded in the time I've been watching the game and none of them would have got in the sides of 10 or 20 years ago.
The 1/2 backs have been hit by injuries to pryce, eastmond and maguire who would have all been in instead of brown

Going back 15 years or so when we had the likes of Radlinski, Offiah, Newlove, Davies and Robinson available and still never won a series, it's clear that the quality of backs we produce has stepped back hugely. Didn't we have overseas quotas of 3 in those days?

The back line is also very young and I can understand the need for them to develop together with the 2013 World Cup in mind. All played well in the first half IMO and although I dont think we have the ability to beat the NZ or Ozzies I hope I see a team play with no fear who are prepared to give it a go.
Hope Lynch gets a call up now Morley is ruled out.
