Mel joins a growing list of backroom staff who leave in " not the best circumstances"
and whilst not pointing any fingers at anyone there does seem to be a pattern.

Brian Johnson, Martin Dunn, Billy Mallinson, Lee Crooks, Steve Crooks and now Mel Harman. All local and all stalwarts of the club at one point or another and have done a lot for the club over the years, he was possibly the last surviving link to the Boulevard staff wise.

Mel is well respected throughtout the game and his contacts alone within the local game a massive loss to the club. Many of us have seen him out in all weathers during the winter months checking out up and coming talent and we should all be thank full for his and others efforts in junior developement.

My frontroom is a right mess as well mate, fancy doing some hoovering?

maybe he just wants an early retirement or,he has been offered a role somewhere else and fancies a change??

Maybe he's applied for the job across the city

Maybe just maybe he has been found out. Over 27 years how £any truly outstanding prospects has he found?

Too much sentiment on here at times.

Had abit to do with him when I was playing junior rugby maybe 5-6 years ago. Found him a nice bloke and knew his stuff when it came to rugby.
But on the other hand maybe its time for some new faces with new ideas to try and bring our youngsters into line with what the other clubs are bringing through.

My dad has known him since they were kids, he is 66

So maybe people are jumping to the wrong conclusion

....and it took Hull 27 years to reach this conclusion???

Knee-jerk responses based on little or no actual information and informed by personal bias? On here? Surely not!

Looking at the standard of youngsters coming through the ranks at other clubs and ours I think a new pair of eyes won't be a bad thing.

he was asked about scrum half, said he would rather have a bash at full back but his legs have gone??

things just move on , nothing more ... like i said before there is a fresh feeling through the club and many mor things will change during the 5 year plan

What is the objective of this 5 year plan? (considering the present board has already been around for over a decade).

How sad do you have to be to become the self appointed voice of the club? And as for a 5 year plan, does that include the Media guy getting fed cakes for the next 5 years because I am worried about the outcome!!

For fecks sake give Mel and the like a chance to receive some much deserved messages of support and stop trying to pretend you sacked him, crooksy, dennis moore and whoever else you claim to have the inside gossip on. Pleb.
