Smith was a joke yesterday. Leeds' second try was from a forward yet he penalises us for a forward when it was a mile back. Radford should not have gotten red carded - it was a provoked attack. I'd want to hit someone like he did had they elbowed me in the head like that! '"
Well to me, Bailey did nothing wrong in this incident. He was clearly trying to get to his feet while Radford was all over him. Yes he may have caught him with an elbow or two but to hit the man when he was trying to play the ball and not even been able to see a punch thrown was a sending off offence for me.
Oh and I agree regarding the refs, I have said many times now, they should go back to been part time.

Take your blinkers off for once.

Was they actually bad enough to provoke an attack on a player who couldnt defend himself?
And if you think his elbows where malitious, surely he will be pulled up by the RFL.

Don't hold your breath. Bailey = no case to answer. You only have to look back over his yearly disiplinary record to see what will happen.

| Radford's shouldn't have punched Bailey while he was on the ground but Bailey shouldn't have elbowed him in the back of the head (which is more dangerous than a thump to the forehead). A yellow card should have been sufficient as it was the start of the match and the players would have calmed down. It seems that the RFL take the same view as Sky: it's alright because its Leeds.
I would agree that Radford should probably be banned for his punching though. I don't think anyone can deny that he was a bit stupid for doing that so early in the match.

Opening game of the season - have a guess who the ref was.
Said at the time it would be interesting to see how many more recieved red cards for punching, well he waited til the last game of the regular rounds.

And look at the teams involved...... do ref's seem more willing to dish out the cards when players involved are not from a 'top team' ??

| Not the worst refereeing display....but that's because there have been so many in the past!!
a) He missed plenty of forward passes for both sides
b) Made himself look a pr1ck by going to the video ref on the 1st try of the season (which incidentally has to be in the mix for our try of the season)
c) Sent off Radders (correctly) but then made himself look a fool by letting Bailey off completely!!!!
d) Going to the video for the Lee Smith try claim when I could see from 40 yards away that Lee Smith had dropped it
One thing in his favour is that he did something that I wish refs WOULD do and that's only give knock on when the ball goes forward. The amount of times I see a player get penalised when the ball goes slightly backwards is a joke. The dopey Leeds fans were screaming a Briscoe knock on in the 2nd half when the kids had to turn 180 degrees backwards to get the ball back!!
The rule seems to have eroded in recent years so that any slight mishandling becomes an automatic knock on. The biggest joke, which actually worked in our favour, was the Rovers one (Murrell IIRC) at a play the ball which cancelled out what would have been the winning try for Rovers on Good Friday. Never a knock on in my book but obviously happy onthat occasion for some reffing idicoy going our way.

| Of course, it wouldn't have been in the RFL's interests to set up a Hull v Rovers clash and a Wigan v Leeds one, would it? Hmmmmm

I watched the game in the pub and missed that incident, something obviously happened as many people have mentioned it.
Bailey is a t*t and always has been and deserves to get a good beating(something which Radford never gave him).

Hmm, Wigan v Leeds, Wire v Saints, FC v KR........
What annoys me is we share the money with the 8,000 attendance that will be Hudds/Crusaders!
