I disagree. He's not English. He's Tongan. He's played for Tonga. He shouldn't, therefore, be able to play for England.
Fernando Torres has been in England for a few years. Doesn't mean that he should be able to play for England in a couple more, does it?
They're both great players, but neither should be able to play for England, as they aren't English.

This is not a Hull versus Rovers thing either, I've gone on record in the past that Willie Manu is a class player and believe it or not I would support an England team with 13 Englishmen who play for FC in it should that happen but nobody with the game at heart can seriously think picking people who have played for other nations for England on residency grounds is a good thing whoever they are, we are not England RU. ![]()
So you never cheered when Tony Smith was in charge? After all he was an integral part of the England team, much in the same way Capello is in the Football.

I'm pretty sure this is one topic in which xenophobia is allowed. International rugby (league and union) is a joke when this happens. The rule should be born in the country or at least a parent born there. Residency is a farce and especially if you've played for your own country before.

I'm pretty sure the same rule applies in football by the way, unless you have already played International football. |

Probably the funniest thing I've ever read on RLFans. Westwood is the most underrated player in SL and is the form back rower of the comp now. His work ethic is amazing, never say die attitude, his tackling is solid and he kicks goals and scores tries. I'm guessing you never watched the match last Friday.
