| Given that we don't get extra for it actually being on the TV, have the club lost out because of the decision of Sky / Police to alter the date to a Thursday. 3000 off the gate.
Also shows that despite what some feel we will only have a full following on certain days. How many tickets were returned after the decision to switch ?

| few probable reasons why it wasnt a sell out
1 - It was on sky and a lot of people may have saved themselves a few quid by watching it on telly.
2 - Seemed a lot of seats used for segregation.
3 - Hulls poor form against wakey and rovers class performance against leeds may have put off a few punters.
4 - Thursday night game - prefer a friday or sat.

I think it's because we removed the discount for the away supporters so they stayed away, refusing to pay double

It was just the usual marketing ploy and you cannot blame them for that. East/South/North were close to full it was just the West that was showing large gaps. Still 20k for a thursday night Sky game is still a good crowd.

Nail on head hullbg. For there to be some (slight) disappointment at 'only' having 20,000 for a Hull derby shows how far both clubs have come. Can still remember vividly us getting 1200-1300 in Division Two, you guys 3-4000 in Division One. To be where both clubs are now in British RL is nothing short of amazing.
Also just want to say that my respect for Richard Horne has grown even further after last night. In nearly all the brawl pics in HDM, tabloids etc he is one of the few guys trying to break things up rather then wading in. + whilst 2 or 3 Hull players taunted the North Stand, I've never once seen him do this to away fans of any team. The guy is a credit to RL in my opinion.
