Alibert shouldn't ref Catalans games for the same reason why Ganson shouldn't ref St Helens games, been biased. Even if Alibert isn't from Perpignan, he'll still be in favour of the French team winning. |

Don't agree. I've no problem with Ganson refereeing Saints games.
How far do you take the idea that a ref might be biased in favour of a particular club? You might say Ganson shouldn't ref Wigan or Warrington games as they are Saints' big local rivals. |

You wouldn't take it that far, just Ganson can't referee St Helens, Bentham can't ref Warrington, Thaler can't ref Wakefield. |

I don't have a problem with it. I don't think Alibert was particularly biased towards them. What's the difference between Alibert refereeing Catalans with a team full of Frenchmen, and Ashley Klien (last season) refereeing a Hull KR team full of Australians?
