| Maybe its down to the stupid little idiots who go in the corner of the east stand next to the away stand, who do nothing put point and jeer at our visitors, hardily welcoming is it? ok they will always be friendly banter between opposing fans but from where i sit in the west i can see this is not friendly! they,re not even watching the game as they are facing the north stand, my fears are it may get worse due to the football season has finished, why should a handful of morons spoil our matchdays

Not excusing our morons but alot of away teams try to sit close to them and sing and point back, Id love it if the away fans sat at the other end of the north stand had a sing along and enjoyed their time here. it sure would shut the morons up some

They'd buy west stand tickets to get nearer to them. Thats all some of them go to the game for.

| Our reputation along with the reputation of chav corner does not help us whatsoever and neither does the length of journeys on a Friday night, especially when coming over from Lancs.

| I have had a great time as a Giants supporter at yours, infact both the last two games I think my partner and I were the only Giants Supporters in Parkers after the games. Was made most welcome. However have spoke to many a supporter of other west yorks teams that wont come because of previous bad episodes to themselves or have heard of. Home support away support is a regular fav topic on most forums. I looked at Population and when you do that it gives some answers. But thats not all the answers, You then have the fanatic reasons.
I watch the Giants and my Home town team Doncaster, and both could be better supported, but both are well supported Football towns comparative to population size. SO lots of reasons for more or less support and every one Valid to the individuals cos to go not to go is based on all personal reasons.
So heres looking forward to see as many or as little of you that comes and hope if I am one of only two giants supporters at yours I am again made welcome.
BTW chav element in the corner arent welcoming but I just ignore the idiots but some dont.

| Its always been the same ..........
The other teams are in clusters, and travel between them is short, cheap and managable they can even use public transport direct from there area to the grounds. Even travel between the Lancs and Yorks clusters is relatively short and a history of travel has been built up over the years. In Hull we have had to get used to travelling out of the city for most away games, its a tradition not diminished by the advent of Super League games being televised on Friday nights.
I have always struggled to get to Friday aways games anyway, so watching on Sky has been the norm since we moved from Sundays to Fridays. I hear now Sky may be switching back to Sunday night games again, a few Sunday games are coming up.
Moving our game day around will not increase the away supporters coming over, get it in your heads fans do not like coming to Hull. We have one hell of a reputation to live down and it still comes up and will for generations to come, its more of an excuse now to justify not coming over. The city of Hull is a nice place all in all, its citizens at times do not help themselves, they are very insular and have more in common with people across the North sea then 50 miles up the M62. The KC stadium has had a problem with those scroats in the East stand since day one and its never been tackled, that displays a simple lack of understanding by those that be. How many has that lot put off in recent years and will continue to do so. The fix has always been easy, but doing nothing until its forced on us is a local trait anyway.
What needs to be done is a little more work on say weekends in Hull, it may come as a suprise to many, but the city has coach loads every weekend coming over and staying in various hotels. This is one area that the club could look at attracting more supporters by linking them in to a weekends here. The area has a lot to offer , as a city its not being tapped into enough, we have good attractions, marvelous sea/beaches.

| It's always been the same to be fair, for whatever reason, fans of other clubs just don't like travelling to Hull, which is a real shame. Theres only really a handful of teams that come over in credible numbers, namely Wigan, Saints and usually Cas. It's disappointing when you consider the amount of supporters we (and hkr) take to away games, whether it be Yorks, Lancs, Wales, France, we always turn out in big numbers. I don't buy into the whole 'Hull is a ****hole' concept that a lot of fans use as their reason for not travelling to Hull because nowhere is particularly pleasant to travel to, yet that generally doesnt stop us on our travels every other week. It's no real suprise that the small number of clubs that bring a decent following to the KC, tend to travel fairly well elsewhere, and vice versa.
What does annoy me though is how a lot of people take for granted how far ourselves and Rovers actually have to travel when going to away matches in comparison to other teams. Barring Rovers our shortest journey is probably Cas which is still a good hour or so away, whereas for teams in West Yorks particularly, most games are practically on their door step, and it's rare for them to have to travel for more than an hour anywhere, obviously excluding Quins, Crusaders and Catalans.

| Nobody has mentioned the price of entry for away fans. The away fans I’ve spoken to seem to feel they are paying too much.
You could try and get all clubs to agree a standard fee for adult entry to all SL grounds for away matches including playoffs. That I feel would increase away support for all clubs.

Does a £3 difference really put that many people off?

Why not make it a flat £10 for a season for away adult fans at every clubs ground. Then see how clubs feel about it after the season ends. Would rather make the same amount from gate recepits but have more fans in ground. Not only does it boost attendance but it could attract more floating home fans if KC atmosphere is better. It also increases sales of food and drink in terraces.

Guess one problem with that is that some clubs rely on away support like Quins. Dropping away fans to £10 would seriously reduce their income stream.
