But Hall should be first choice centre. Agar has gone for a "solid" centre instead of one who will cause problems. I can see why he might favour Whiting against the likes of Leeds or Wigan even if I wouldn't neccessarily agree with him, but Hall could have had a field day against Bradford and instead he will spend another week being wasted in the reserves and we will take a nother step closer to losing one of the most exciting talents in the competition.

I agree that I'd prefer Hall at centre however the point I'm trying to make is that just because he isn't doesn't mean he has been scapegoated.
Agar for whatever reason has left Whiting at centre and simply replaced last weeks winger with a specialist winger in Calderwood. Seems fair enough to me.

| Why not give Briscoe a break instead? Never gets dropped, regardless of how he plays. I have no doubt he'll get peppered with bombs yet again and will fail to cope with most of them. He's a liabilty when defending them due to his height. He stands to far infield on the last tackle in our danger zone. Maybe due to lack of communication with his centre.
Agars love child perhaps?

problem is that most of the problems he causes are due to his awful defence!!!
no one doubts his talent with the ball but thats only half the match , its when every team run straight at hall he is exposed!!!
Radford out , Hall out , turner in , Moa in, lets go!!!

| I can see him putting Turner Centre and Calderwood wing like he did in the friendly against Rovers and maybe Whiting on the bench.

10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

I think Hall’s defensive play has improved significantly since last year to be honest.

| Just think Turner has a bit more pace and guile about and Whiting can cover 5 or 6 positions from the bench.

Hall had played at centre against Quins and Cas despite Whiting being fit and available (I know he played full back against Quins) and was then forced out onto the wing because of Calders injury. Whiting has done absoluelty nothing at centre to suggest he deserves to start ahead of Hall. I don't know the reasons for Agar dropping Hall but if it is a tactical change then I don't see the point. Surely Agar didn't think we needed to play a defensive centre to combat the awesome attacking threat of Chris Nero?

Perhaps given the seeming ease with which we were exposed out wide at Wigan he is just playing it safe this week and prioritising the defense? We should still have enough attacking threat without Hall IMO.
Also as someone suggested perhaps he intends to give Turner a go at centre?

| Quote: chico's nose "Hall has done a decent job so far this season imo. All of our backs had a tough day at the office last week and as you say Hall was out of position. Agar needs to handle this situation very carefully if he has dropped Hall on the back of his last performance, especially when you factor in the confidence issues that Hall suffered due to been dropped last year, again having been asked to play out of position.
All players will be dropped at some time, but I just hope that all the progress that Hall has made over the past 6 months or so is not lost and that he has become a stronger person and can handle the situation slightly better.'"
Would hope Hall would accept the situation as any other professional sportsman should.Work harder, get better, thus making it impossible for Agar to ignore him.
we can't afford to wrap players in cotton wool to avoid hurting their feelings and hope they don't go off on one.
Personally I think Hall has done OK this year, and has improved, however I also believe he is not yet a nailed on first team and Agar will chop and change until his defence improves even more.Once he achieves this I think his name will be one of the first on the team sheet.
