It wasn't so much the missed tackles (although there were plenty). It was the "not near enough to" tackles. The wings were being pulled in to the centre of the pitch and Wigan were running riot down either side with long balls cutting out the entire defensive line.

It was too easy for them. Hey ho, move on. Backwards and downward or onwards and up. One of the two!

Our 2nd of the night for Darrell Goulding would have had me tearing my hair out as a Hull FC fan tbh. He picked up a loose pass from the ground, span past the first defender and basically ran in a straight line for about 15m with no Hull defender reacting.
After the first 15-20mins last night I thought we'd get beat tbh because I thought your pack looked very good but a mixture of bad discipline and some concentration lapses let the game run away before half time.

| Went to the game last night.
On reflection, our dicipline killed us. Match that with having no recognised winger in the team and Wigan took major advantage. Wigan were good, and desrved the victory. They cut inside at every given opportunity and ran rings around our defence. The majority of the players had a bad game but I have to single out both Hall and Tansey. Hall defensive and potitional play was poor and was caught out a number of times down that right hand side. Tansey had a poor game also, and his failure to find touch from a penalty not once, but twice, summed up our game.
Long, in the first half, never put a long kick in. Tactical? Or still not fully fit? If it's the latter, why was he playing?? If the excuse was that he would have a 'big game' because he was playing against former employers, why wasn't Calderwood playing??
Overall a disappointing showing, but I wonder what the outcome would have been in Whiting and taken that ball to take us to 12 all. May have given FC a boost, but it's all ifs and buts. Horne, once again was FC's best, and it looks like he is finding his old form again.
Bring on Bradford.

| Just back this morning, upon reflection heres how I see it.
wide out we looked amateur at best and were undone by the wings being sucked in over and over.
Our sliding defence was almost non existent.
Man on Man we pretty much lost the battle up front as coley and feilden had a blinder.
Long clearly wasnt fit.
Horne was outstanding
in all we got what we deserved on the night against a champion looking side to be fair!!

On that note I'm going to say EastEnders was awful the other night and that new neighbour is stunning....even though I ain't seen them

The one that got me was Roberts try before HT, not only was that on the back of Tansey failing to find touch but we had three players around Roberts and none reacted to the ball.
Briscoe for me is becoming a liability.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Been saying that about Briscoe all season...going to be a hell of a player but postional play is awful.........The more i look at it..the Moa re-signing is looking a wasted one...could have got a winger in if we knwe we was going to be light.

| You can get a decent idea what is going on via commentary IF!!!!! the commentary is factual and unbiased. However there of course is no substitue for being there.
But to dismiss someones thoughts because they could only listen is ridiculous.

| tbf to Briscoe it was a horrible bounce. It was his all the way and it bounced right over his head and into Roberts' arms.

Agreed it bounced to perfection from a Wigan POV, still think it should have being dealt with prior to the bounce though.
