If Calderwood is not fit then Hall to the wing and Whiting to centre with Turner off the bench.

Why does he? Of course he can play the full 80 but if we don't need him to then don't bother. There will be a time when we need him to do it and he will.
It's a long season and Berro playing 80 mins every week is not the best idea, but certain matches it may well help.

Think we had flexibility last week by bringing Whiting on to allow Tansey to get involved at 9. I wouldn't see that as the way to do it going forwards but it's an option i guess and if Berro feels up to it he can then stay on 80 mins.
I'd much rather Berro plays 60 mins per game and we dont over do it and burn him out. He gets through a stack of work in both attack and defence.

Depends, if the price of that is having to keep Houghton on the bench when he has (thus far) struggled to perform, then is it worth paying?
Houghton can only play hooker, Whiting/Turner offer cover for other positions as well.

Go with Washy then who can play and and cover other positions?

Saves shuffling the deck to replace Berro though. (Turner has been very average imo)
Whiting is likely to be playing centre.

For me Whiting get in ahead of Turner purely for his form so far and strength in defence plus he can cover FB to allow Tansey to cover for Berro if needed during the 80.
But all depends if Calderwood is fit to play, if not

A tough one for Agar'"
it certainly is a tough call for Agar, however I do believe Hall has to make way for whiting in this one simply for Whitings defence which will be sorely tested by the points machine which is wigans high kick to the wingers!! unfortunately I feel Hall would be out of his depth against the best winger in the comp and does not need his confidence damaged at this point.. his time will come

| Can't see Calderwood being fit. Would go for:
1. Tansey
2. Hall
3. Whiting
4. Yeaman
5. Briscoe (although if Calders is fit would replace Tom with Hall)
6. Horne
7. Long
8. O'Meley
9. Berrigan
10. Radford
11. Manu
12. Tickle
13. Sir Fitz
14. Dowes
15. Cusack
16. Lauaki
17. Turner (can come on for Berro and play centre while Whiting can go to FB and Tansey to 9)

Tough to leave whiting out but think we will need to spell Berro and I think in what will be a physical game Danny may give us a bit of zip later on. IMO for what its worth.

We need Whiting's defence, we can put Turner on the bench to spell Berro. Turner to centre, whiting to FB and Tansey to 9.

| Quote: east hull FC fan "Would drop Briscoe before Hall.'"
Dunno i think that Briscoe offers a lot more due to his physique when runnig from defence etc, seems to have that knack of breaking from tackles more and can clearly hit harder than Hall, dont get me wrong i like Hall but between the two its Briscoe for me
However if Calders is out then we see both anyway however i hear a rumour that Turner is at centre against Wigan!!!!
the plot thickens
