| I think it's been a great decision to put Moa in the 20's for first few games...
This kid will be ready to rumble when he makes his 1st team debut this term..
Looking sharper and sharper game by game...

A shame to leave Turner out but Tansey is better for now.

How do you know Tansey is better? Turner has shown that he is capable of playing in the halfs whereas Tansey hasn't played there for us yet. If Tansey comes back it should be at full back, otherwise leave him out and let him fight for his place.
I certainly wouldn't like to be picking the team. Personally Tansey has to come it at full back for me. Whiting was very solid in an unfamiliar position but he wasn't "outstanding" like some people are claiming. He looked unsure when the ball was bouncing around and in attack his lack of pace meant he got caught in possession a little too often when the ball should have been moved wide. We look alot better with Tansey there imo, however Whiting has done nothing to warrant being left out of the 17. You could put him on the bench instead of Houghton but what role would he play? We don't want to be spelling Fitzy if we can help it and Lauaki is there for back row cover anyway. Your backs should also play 80 minutes unless they are injured or are having a shocker. If we start with Whiting on the bench we could well just end up bringing him on for the sake of it.
Alot of tough calls for Agar to make.

When Tansey has played and linked up with the halfs in attack he has looked a lot more threatening, I've got nothing against Turner he had a great game last week, I would just prefer Tansey there. Just my opinion of course!

| Tansey into the halves and Tuner to the bench in place of Houghton. Possibly Moa to get a run out too in place of either Yak or Radford.

Nothing to do with his pace its more to do with the pace of the passing and the fact its going through one too many sets of hands. Tansey gets caught in position when playing as that wider pivot all the time as well.

| There is a big difference coming into the line from fullback you can scan the field and have a better view of the gaps then make your run ..at halfback you are in the thick of it and you have to think quicker then make your move ..My opinion Turner had a good game wasn't frightened to take the line on and the lads kicking game wasn't to bad.. also he took a lot of work off R Horne who had one of his best games for years ..But people see thing different ..that why we watch the game and we are not coaches

Just about every pundit and most of the fans would disagree with you, but you're entitled to your opinion.

tansey, moa, dowes, lauaki
give moa a go, he must be chompin at the bit surely and id get tom back in the centre, hes not a winger, his strength is going up the middle like at saints when he scored even tho he came in off the wing to do it. and he cant handle the high ball to the wing.

Couldn't agree more. I'm a big fan of Whiting's and I thought he did very well on Friday but, in my opinion, he didn't do anything to suggest he should oust Jordan Tansey from the full back spot. Let's not forget that Tansey has been one of our stand-out players so far this season and I think he offers more in that position.
I'd keep Turner in the halves if Long is missing, and it'd be between Calderwood, Whiting, and Hall for the right wing and centre positions for me. I think Whiting should probably be the right centre but it's a tough break for whoever misses out as they've all been playing well.
Good position for Agar to be in.
