Its not just the game its getting there just rang a pal in Huddersfield and its snowing hard there and there are warning about the M62 being reduced lane wise! He said forcast was for this to continue tiill mid afternoon over the Pennines!

Sadly we have taken the option not to travel over, after what I saw on the M62 the other Wednesday it scares me half to death travelling all that way in these conditions.

Just wonder what the club(s) will do for those fans who decide not travel even though they buy tickets are the game is on??

I think the pitch will be okay. The problem is the area around the stadium - it was like an ice rink against Leeds and with hindsight that game should have been bagged for safety reasons.

Once any lingering snow clears, a mostly dry and bright day is expected with the odd snow shower possible in northern counties. Chilly though, with light westerly winds.

Starting clear and cold this evening with a touch of frost forming. Cloud will thicken from the south with rain and sleet spreading northwards into mid-Wales by dawn.

I wouldn't expect them to do anything if the game is still on.

Only reason to call off the game will be snow on the terracing, surrounding roads, and conditions accross the M62 for FC fans. Forecast for this afternoon is around 4c, so hopefully it will go ahead.

I live not far from Skipton and its still snowing hard here with about 2" of lying snow. Forecast shows wrrst should be over by about 11am....touch & go me thinks

Sheffield has around 3 inches and it's still snowing. As our route is over Snake Pass, I think we'll give this one a miss anyway

You are probably right, but its a question I am going to ask with us not travelling and I bet afew over fans think the same.

Virtually stopped snowing in Skipton area, and sky looking brighter

apperently the M62 is bad allready, and not been gritted either (what a suprise)

I drive to Howden every day and it takes me best part of hour to hour and a half when its like this, so god knows how long it would take to Wrexham.

I do hear from a friend who has set off that the A63 has not been gritted.

It's certainly thawing here and it's quite bright, snow's stopped. Would think it will be on if they can clear the pitch?

Snow stopped here in Uttoxeter 50 miles east of Wrexham. Melting already snow very wet/slushy.

Just waiting for the pitch inspection before setting off. May have to re-think my route as it was going to be across country up to the A5 and that might be dodgy, although we've only had around 1/2 inch of snow here and it's already melting.
