Having had the misfortune to visit normanton I feel privileged that my great club have brought a brief spell of joy into your otherwise desperate existence.

Me too... mind it was a little boring near the end... no resistance from team and fans alike! icon_cool.gif

The only real entertainment came when the FC Fan operating the scoreboard had a breakdown! icon_biggrin.gif

High Cardiff ............................

Low Cooke crossing the river

Them signing Cooke did us more harm then he helped them

the 42 -6 defeat was bad, the 71 -0 at Bradford was far worse IMHO

A decade consists of 10 years regardless of when it starts.

Any to the OP.

Pretty much agree with all of them.

Oh and WIki states
The 2000s is the decade that started on January 1, 2000 and ends on December 31, 2009. It is the current decade, and the decade in which the 21st century and 3rd millennium began.

two silly comments in one post.....
all i'll say on the matter is that, briscoe besides prescott is the best full back hull have had since kemble...and as for mcrae, well lets be honest, the team that he built and developed won the challenge cup, the massive injury list we had one season under mcrae cost us silverware aswell in my opinion......
dont forget we was tonking teams by massive scores under mcrae aswell......how long ago does that seem...can anyone tell me the last time we scored 40- 50 points?????

Highs all pretty much centre on the 2005/6 seasons, out of those:
CC semi vs Saints
Morning after the CC final (didn't seem real until then)
Play-off win at Warrington
Drop goal win at St Helens
GF qualifier vs Bradford

Lows
Admin feck-ups (Cooke, Thackray)
Crocker not coming
71-0 vs Bradford - wasn't particularly bothered about losing but the end of Kearney's playing career and dropping Brough after the Warrington performance was a poor end to a fantastic season.
Going out of the CC in the 4th round at Odsal in 2006
Performance at Cas this year

Agree with that.

Last 40+ score was against Rovers in July 2008. We only scored 30+ twice last season (and we lost one of them!) With Matt Head in the team in Summer 2007 we scored 40+ three times in four games.

The last time we scored over 50 points in a SL game was against Wigan in 2006.

Shaun McRae was a good coach and well respected. Without the injury crisis at the end of 2004 we could've made Old Trafford.

Briscoe is no where near a low...a low is nearly going under with Lloyd/Walsh and Mcalpine semi...fwiw we have missed Cooke far far more than Briscoe.

As for Mcrae....he couldnt do anything with a far far superior squad to what we have ever had...i would sooner win silverwear by being bloody boring than tonk teams and win sod all.....Mcrae was good when he inherited a good team.....not as good at Sths and Salford is he....and the drink culture was even worse under his tenure than Sharps/Agars and he signed some right donkeys as well.
