| No brainer, it has to be Fitz. He is a born leader and has tons of experience. I don't see the point of having someone like Radford or Cusack as vice captain and I would not give Longy any responsibility whatsoever, he should be left to play. I'd like to see Washbrook get it, local, young and talented. Groom him to take over when Fitz goes in a year or two.

Agreed. Radford has had his chance and has made some questionable comments about the fans etc in the past.

Absolutely spot on Paul, washbrook as vice captain to fitz. for me washy can be the voice of the younger players and take over from fitz when he goes, best youngster at the club by some distance and for me learning off fitz will be his finishing school.
I'd rather washy was at 6 instead of Horne TBH, but that's for another thread.

totally agree. Can only see washbrook been used off the bench anyway this season, so why would you want to give him the vice captaincy. We have got to go with experience. Fitzy skipper and Sean Long vice captain.

Are you some sort of idiot? Yeah he was at the bottom club in austrailia last season but he has also 5 nrl grand final apperiences to his name. Playing 8 times for NSW, played 15 times for australia and played nearly 250 first class games,. Not to mention the small fact of winning man of the match in the 2002 grand final. So experience a plenty.

Agree with your sentiment there I like Washy and think he has much potential but it's exactly that still - potential. He needs to push on now and realise it and then receive the accolades. Giving him a role as vice captain wouldn't help him at this stage especially when there are proven more experienced internationals in the frame.

| Thats true. Whilst ive been on rlfans four years. I come and go, but all the time i have been coming and going, rommel as been on this forum. I thought he might of grown up a tad, but no, i still have to question, what quality of life he has. Just for his sake, i believe in euthanasia. Why make him suffer any longer.
