Absolutely 110% correct, he has had a good run and should feel proud of himself as he did absolutely nothing wrong in the games played so far but was left high and dry by his centre whom the Aussies ran through now the wing!!
As for Mcquire I have to say that he is as much a surprise in the squad to me as Bridge was, he hasnt played a decent game for his country in umpteenth caps , Glad to see the young lad from Saints get a run, I belive this young fella with Tompkins could well be our future and tons of skill & speed between em to boot

27608.jpg Motto of the week -
It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.:27608.jpg |

| I would have had Carvell in for Westwood allowing Burgess to play back row where he can do more damage.

| Quote: PAUL M "Bridge and Fox are a terrible combination and why Peacock in the backrow again
Bridge can't possibly be as bad as Smith was last week - the Wire fans were giving him big raps during the second half of the season and he was playing centre then. And with McGuire missing that whole side should be better defensively. Plus they won't be facing Inglis, which is a bonus.
Don't think Fox will bring anything that Briscoe didn't so I guess that's just Smith giving another option a spin out to see what happens.
My main concern is Peacock in the second row again. That really didn't work last week either going forward or in defence, so feck knows why we're sticking with it.

Agree with you. Can only hope it better suits this opposition.
Club specs can be useful occasionally in judging the team. I'm not thrilled with Bridge, but better him than Smith for Fox's international prospects. If I wasn't concerned for T.Briscoe's confidence, he might be better than either - though any misunderstandings on that side of the pitch would send the boards into meltdown. For the team as a whole, I'm glad Ellis stays in the 2nd row.

| Apart from Peacock in the backrow I think the team is OK and about the best we can put out. Play Burgess in the backrow and Peacock at prop (morley off the bench) and it would eb even better.
Bridge is good player, who has suffered badly with injuries, another player who has struggled to find a position, but finsihed the season well for warrington in that position.
Briscoe is unlucky to be dropped as he didnt do anything wrong, he will get his chance again, and Fox deserves a chance IMO, as over the season he was good for Rovers and is there anyone else.
I really like the look of the halfbacks, very exciting and one we could build on for the next few years.

You hope England get beat ?
Why ?
Because Smith has dropped the underformers and it includes Briscoe ?

No, Briscoe did not under perform, but Fox will.

Exactly how did Tom Briscoe underperform, what specifically did he do wrong in your opinion?
