Radio humberside said this morning that 1 more could come in. At the exact same time HDM ran an article that hull are not signing any more.

If previous situation with Moa is anything to go by then it is nailed on that one more is coming in.

I'm concerned at Half back should Long get injured and Prop too should we lose one or two throughout the season.

Still think the squad is fragile should we get our best 13 out every week I reckon we could put a serious challenge to the top 4 but if we get a few injuries particular to Long then another season of failure Im afraid.

tansey did well at the end of season at scrum half so we do have some cover and even washy or berrigan would do better at scrum half behind a more dominate pack

We're in creek if Long gets injured for time.

Whilst the balance and quality looks better than the last couple of years how can we go with a squad of just 24 - and that includes Tickle who may be leaving.

Even with half the injuries we have had in the last couple of years we will be well stretched - we definelty need another 2 bodies.

Just out of interest, in 2005/6 when we won something didn't we have a squad of about 32?

I agree, I think having Long there as a specialist half back will bring out the most in the backs around him and will show that they can be a strong back line outfit.

He hasn't recovered from his fracture yet, we should be crossing our fingers about that.

Long can teach him that too...as well as explaining the meaning of life

Good post however, i don't think Calderwood will get more ball because i reckon Agar will go with Briscoe on the right wing.
He made thar obvious by bringing him straight back in against Catalans and dropping calderwood.

I dont agree, I think Calderwood would have been allowed to move on if Agar thought that, I still think Calderwood was not 100% towards the end of the season.

Hmm i hope Calders does get his chance, he deserves it...maybe Raynor will be looking over his shoulder (or even Yeaman)...comp for places makes things interesting.
