It doesn't matter where it's on sale, without supporting evidence Long can just claim to have made it up.
As pointed out elsewhere, the RFL had sight of the manuscript before publication so this will hardly be news to them. |

Whether made up or not, it could be seen as bringing the game into disrepute. |

Yup. Thing is that's a pretty vague charge with a not too well defined set of penalties, so he'd likely get off a lot lighter than if he was charged with betting again.
And I'm not trying to defend him BTW. I don't mind players with a bit of character, but some of the stuff in his book is just childish and stupid IMO. |

Do you ever have anything positive to say about anything Hull FC Martin. He's said its warts and all childish silly bad etc etc etc.But he is in the busines of selling a book, he starts with us in November if he does it after that then we will all get on his back, what is not reported is the end of the book where he reflects on how stupid he has been! andalso the fact that the RL had sight of a draft of the tome weeks ago!
The fact is he is a character hopefully, as he says i the book, a reformed one, but as the Rugby League press said this weekend still the best scrum half in the Super League! Oh and he has signed for us!!! |

I doubt the RFL had read the book prior to its printing
If it was at KR there would be ten pages on here baying for his head. To be honest I don't really care, but if he is allowed to get away with it where does it leave the standing of the sport ? |
