| Quote: Mrs Barista "We will have more quality in the squad and hopefully better luck with injuries.
However, there is no evidence to suggest we will have a detailed gameplan for each game, nor that Agar will get every player playing to their full potential, nor that he will deliver a team whose quality exceeds the sum of its parts. A great example of this was the post match press conference vs Quins where he said something like "We didn't give them too much - just said to them "If you see it, play it"." If I were head coach of what should be a top 4 club, I'd expect to be providing a bit more insight, leadership and direction than something that sounds like a Roy Walker catchphrase. Although having said that, it was more effective than the previous 4 months worth of preparation.'"
Just about sums it up for me, after seeing the team since Agar took control I have seen little if anything to suggest things will change greatly under his stewardship (can't say leadership as I honestly don't believe there is any from him) apart from the players brought in.
I hope he does indeed prove many of us wrong but sadly feel he will not. He should have been gone this season, for many reasons, waiting again next season will just be another wasted season.
The first two games should tel us if he has learnt anything from his mistakes this season and found out what a diffence a game plan and tactics would make to a game.
For me he failed in just about every aspect and seems out of his depth, like I say its up to him to prove us wrong and nothing but a strong positive and convincing start will be acceptable.

I agree
And i can't believe how many people have seemingly had their attitudes totally changed by a win against a Quins side who are in dire form.
I think the players we have got in will improve the side, maybe as much as to regain a playoff place...but with a poor coach we will never challenge for honours, no matter who we have on the pitch (Warrington in the last days of Cullen and Lowes are proof of that) and Agar has done nothing to convince me otherwise.
the Bradford game is a huge game for his future IMO, a convincing display and we end the season on some form of optimism, another crap display and it'll be a long winter of moaning.

| Quote: east hull FC fan "If you recall, we won the first 5 games of this season.
10 would be the minimum for me but that could ruin another season as it will be impossible to finish top 4, which is a minimum for a good crack at old trafford. The only thing in his favour for me is his recruitment, retention and the players going.'" Quite an astute obsvervation that perhaps he would be a better director of Rugby?

Don't see how a meaningless game against a team who are as bad as us with an equally poor coach can show us anything. If we can beat (or match) Wigan then i'll consider that a glimmer of hope.

Or scout. He clearly has very good knowledge of upcoming players.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

a few weeks ago and I'd have agreed, but Bradford have hit a bit of form and if they win again next week they'd still have an outside chance of the playoffs. So it could be used as a marker of if we have improved or not.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.

| Sure we can wipe the slate clean, that is not a problem.
The problem will be enxt term with six down and nowehre to go yet again, then it will take more then the coaches head to fall.
Maybe Jimmy's as well, because this club can not take another season like the last two and maintain the level of support. I can wipe the slate clean, but I thnik it will be back out with fresh impressions on it with in weeks of the start of next season. I am not convinced he knows what he is doing, his substitutions have most experienced watchers of the game baffled.
We shall see, I for one will stand up and apologise if I am wrong and I truly hope I am because if I am right this decision will have deep and far reaching implications for the clubs future.

I agree that if we fail next year that given Rule has inexplicably backed Agar with gay abandon that he has put himself in the position that he must go aswell.

Hull fc & Nottingham Forest the only red worth watching:44509.gif |

| Pointless we could start the season the same as we did this year then look what happend when do you draw the line. I don't understand anything the club have done this year whatsoever, in no other form of sport would the manager not have taken the can for what has happend. injuries not his team ect ect spin all along and o then there's wait till next season when it's his team what a load of bullsxxt !!!. Lacking in leadership lacking in someone competant enough to know what there doing thats the problem . The slate is dirty move on Who was picking the side at the start of the season and taking the credit's for it then suddenly it's not his side we have problems
