| He's got the 'penalty machine' doing his job and not giving away penalties, he's got a hooker that 'wanted' to play scrum half back in his best position at hooker.
He's got my hero 'Mozza' leading by example, he's got their 'talisman' back into the game, he's got our old prop playing like he never has.
He's got them playing FOR EACH OTHER which has brought out and enhanced the latent talent of each and every one in his team.
Pretty much fits the job description of a good coach, IMO
And what have we got..............................

| im not saying agar will be a great coach, but he s only been in charge just over a year.in smiths first year of coaching huddersfield, they where relegated.he then started bringing in new signings, picked his own men and huddersfield where soon back in super league.

Agar has been in charge for a year too long. Smith got relegated with a team worse than Celtic are now, however much the ostriches around here like to blame the players, we have a squad ten times better than that Huddersfield side. Nothing Agar has done since he took charge has shown the slightest sign that he is capable of coaching at this level, the man is an embarrassment to our club.

| most of this squad are distinctly average.if a new coach took over tomorrow 60% of them would be on there way.

| Last season and this season, had there been relegation we would have been in a dog fight to stave it off. Having survived that first 'dog fight' you would have thought the employers would have been looking for reasons to terminate his contract.
Now we are in a 'hypothetical relegation dog fight' yet again, it really does throw a great deal of doubt over the boards wisdom in retaining a coach with (injuries aside) such inept skills, not only as coach but also his whole persona comes across as 'a small boy in a big boys playground', and really doesn't promote our great club to the level it historically derserves.

The Man with a van . eating the hairy pie: |
|
| I for one know that we have to give Agar next season to prove his self with all the rumors and every thing else that goes on players not wanting / willing to play for him .I bet they are willing to take their wages at the end of the month .
With the players that are rumored to be coming and going we shoud have a very very different line up next year . I have watched Carvell and to be honest I think he made the right move in leaving Hull FC . You watch teams play and all the back slapping etc that goes on the team spirit, we do not have any of that . We need to get the TEAM back together again and playing for each other.I do not profess to know the answers because I don't but we have an army of fans out here that want to follow a team that is contesting week in and week out, not when they feel like it .I walked out last week before the final try but when watched back on boots and all we was not far away just a bit unlucky in the first 20 30 minutes then when F/all came off our team might as well of gone home because they lost all interest .

| still dont think you can judge him on just over a year.anyone who thought we would win anything this year was deluding themselves.where was the class in the halves or the power in the pack?.my only optimism was the thought of crocker coming.i do blame agar for not signing a top 7.everyone but him knew thorman would never be the scrum half we needed.i still reserve judgement on him till we see how the squad shapes up next year.

| I don't get this mentality that just because he's been appointed we have to 'give him a chance'. Besides the fact that he's already had a chance (and failed miserably) it would be far better to accept that it was a mistake to give him the job in the first place and cut him loose now, letting him carry on until next season will only do more damage.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Yes, but it's based on the evidence (which you can't deny suggests he will fail). Also you can't argue that it will be much easier to appoint a new coach in the off-season than part-way into the new season which will probably mean ending up with Jon Sharp incharge for the remainder of next season (and again, all the evidence suggests he's incapable of getting us anywhere near where we want to be). I just don't want to take chances with the future of our club, if there's a chance to get a proven winner in charge then we have to take it (IMO of course ).
