For someone low in confidence who admits he hates that position and has proven to be poor in defence that was a lamb to the slaughter tactic from Agar.
I could hear the last 2 nails driven into his coffin as we waited for those high balls to descend.
Poor bugger. He's not up to it so why put him through it?'" Agar should have moved him from full back after his first miss of the high ball, but being sadly lacking in coaching skills he leaves him there to make a complete ba--s of it.

The man was struggling for form so he was dropped for 2 games, got himself back into the 17 whilst low on confidence and Agar sticks him at fullback - the biggest spotlight available!!!! Horme should have reverted to full back with Thorman staying in the halves.
Agar made a major ph uck for me and i really feel it for Thorman, who for me will prob not play SL for a long time now.'"
Yip.

he does put effort in, he's just a scapegoat. always been an average player, and us fans expect a master of a 7, which he is not, and has never been

| I think that it is a bit unfair to criticise his effort. I think that Thorman always looks interested and tries hard. criticise his performance, but for me I think that he is one of the few who you cant criticise for lack of effort

i agree, i cant beleive im watching a players entire career go up in smoke infront of my eyes, im not thormans biggest fan, and lets be honest who is but i feel sorry for the guy at the minute, even brett hodgson and kevin brown gave him a tap on the shoulder behind the posts as radford walked past!!!

we should have stuck with James Webster, after all that fuss and effort getting him a passport we ditched him for Thorman who is no faster or better in defence (Websters biggest weaknesses) but Webster had/has the much better kicking game and organisational skills.
neither were a long term solution, but I still feel Webster would have offered us much more this season, and that it was another big gaffe by Agar.

| Thorman was a good player. He lost some of his pace at Huddersfield and then JON SHARP moved him to full back. His confidence was shattered at that point. Huddersfield fans booed him when his name was read out and you could see the confidence drain out of him. When he went back to no 6 we started winning games again.
Then he goes to Hull and ends up at full back. the support he got from your players was shocking NOT ONE Player came back to support or help out the catcher. Thorman dropped them but he tried. The other 12 w'nkers you had who did not even try to help out are the ones who deserve booing.
FWIW he was ok when in the halves, a couple of decent kicks and a lovely cut out pass to send raynor away.
Booing a player when his name is read out as Giants and now Hull fans have done is shocking.

| I too admit that at times I have been angry with rage at thorman but something seems to have changed in my opinion. I can't forgive Agar for making thorman do the walk of shame at cas. Thorman always trys but will never be upto the task before him.
I wish him well...But just not at hull..

Exactly.
If ever there was an incentive not to sign for Hull poor Thorman shamefully is it.

| Thorman as ruined as a player by Jon Sharp.
He was a very good SH. Remember, he was picked for England. He had a very good kicking game. He was an extremely good servant for us - despite what some 'supporters' say.
He was asked to play FB by Mr Sharp. He played OK - until Brough pumelled him with high balls. After that his confidence was shattered - until after JS departed and he returned to SO. He played the season out there and did a good job.
He didn't want to leave the Giants, but strangely followed JS to Hull.
Now, I wonder if you should be picking on Thorman and Agar????
By the way, I was embarrassed by our chants of 'Thorman what's the score'. Totally out of order.

| I think Agar picks him so he has a ready made scapegoat TBH.
Felt for him tonight. Should not have been put in that position.

Totally agree, felt sorry for the lad, he looked liked someone had shot him in the heart, squatting down as Hodgson was preparing to kick for the extr 2 points.
It was a weakness we saw on the first high ball that undid him and the second one was only to follow, clearly the coach should have moved him from full back. What I don't get was where was his support the ball Fulton kicked was so high you had time to stroll back and protect him, but no one to be seen.
