| Quote: Kosh "IIRC he had only come over on a temporary basis and had always intended to return to Aus and go into business. When he was asked to stay he put a price on himself which reflected the costs of moving his family here and missing out on the business opportunity. That was too high, as you say, and he went home instead.
I don't think he was bothered TBH.
Aha! The plot thinnens.

He only came over on a short term contract for part of the season. We did not need him the next season as we had already signed a certain Richard Swaine, who at the time was the best hooker in the world.

Depends, if he has $2m Aus then he doesn't have £1m at the present exchange rate.
Also, does he have cash, or is it paper money?

Nobody 'got rid' of Triester. He came over on a temporary contract because we didn't have a hooker until Swain arrived. He really wasn't very interested in staying here - see my explanation of how he left.
Don't tell me you were one of those who were saying we should have cancelled Swain's contract and kept Triester?

| A lot of our current squad are in the carpet business. They lay down and let teams walk all over them.

IIRC, wasn't McRae also interest in keeping him on anyway?
I seem to remember Triester saying that he wouldn't play much with Swain coming in and being an 80-minute hooker so would be off home, but McRae saying that he'd like him to stay and wanted to talk positions with him. He seemed to hint at Triester possibly having a chance of playing in the halves.

No, you're not.
"Multi" is a multiple, 2 is a multiple, $2m aussie dollars is less than £1m sterling. (just)

Not that it matters.

But he could also have $4 million or $8 million
So he would be comfortably be a millionaire in £.
Also if that works out to just short of a million I'm sure if it's that successful he will be a millionaire in our money soon enough.
