mixed bag of recruitment there really

we brought in the legend that is Richard Swain, but also Michael 'who' Eagar and the infamous Ryan Benjafield.

all the players released there had seen their best days as well

but the biggest thing that stands out is the quality of the British recruitment, how much have we gotten out of Briscoe, Whiting, Dowes, Raynor, Mcmenemy...over the years!

We signed him from Halifax though i guess and at the time he was a bit of an unknown, but turned out to be a good value signing.

i didn't mean 'british' as such, i meant from the British game, we got Mcmenemy from Halifax, Dowes and Raynor from Leeds reserves...

now we usually go for 'name' players, but has it produced better results?
