| well said that man (ian fc) to say the lads are'nt putting the effort in is ludicrous, personnally i beleive it to be poor gameplan and team orders, that the players have to stick to however boringand readable it is,,i know for a fact that when hull lose they get no support from the club and coaching staff working how to improve things and what went wrong, that is poor profesionalism just going away to lick your wounds and leaving the lads to ponder on what happened just isnt good enough,,,we need a shake up and replace our coaching staff and dare i say our coach,,,

However, I've seen teams putting the effort in and, in general, many of our players aren't. Look at the defensive line speed, kick chase, off the ball running and support play. These are all indicators of whether a team is giving 100% effort and they're all areas we're lacking.'" Without an inspirational coach we will never go forward, listening to him after the Wakefield match i thought he was going to fall asleep in between his slurps of his drink.Think the team as got it,but i am afraid Mr Agar can't inspire them.Ok when we were winning but a good coach comes to the fore when the going gets tough.(Oh and a top class scrum half would help)

I've already said that the bulk of our squad is good enough to do well, though I do think certain players have had their day. That being said, we are in the position we are in because of poor coaching/tactics and, in my opinion, lack of effort from some of our players.
When it takes until 60 minutes into a derby game before the team starts to play, you know there's a problem with motivation.

I love it

thats my take on things, the squad are good enough to do reasonably well, but not quite good enough to win things. A decent coach would be getting loads more out of the limited players in our squad.

Basically my thoughts too, and I feel the lack of effort is down to poor motivation from the coach.
I was suprised when I shouted something (can't remember what though as it was heat of the moment ) at the players as they went off at half time someone told me that was a load of rubbish and shouted well played or something. I was just stood there wondering if they were watching a game where we were 22-6 down and couldnt complete a tackle to save our lives.
I really do think that a lot of fans have this 'I will give the players all my support no matter what' attitude no matter what the players do and if that wasn't the case, I feel that the board could have been pressurised into getting a new coach already. I'll shout and scream for the team all day long, but only if I feel they are showing enough effort, passion and commitment. I'm usually one the first to sing but now I find I can't be botherec. I even found myself moving to the front against St Helens and think I may do again at Salford if things are going bad

| on behalf of the wildcats may i offer my sincere apologies for not rolling over for the benefit of hull
FFS these are professionals and from what i saw on friday was two very well balanced teams which could of gone either way. This is the beauty of the new set up you could go on and win your next 5 you have the players then again you could lose the next 5 as the other teams have caught up. its getting very tiresome that everytime a team gets beat by wakey its coz their team is full of non triers . hull you were just pipped live with it.
any kind of weather

Erm, I think if you looked at threads before the Wakey game, people had the same views so its not just the Wakey game people are talking about. Although that is one of the reasons. While Wakey aren't exactly a poor side, I don't think you played well against us. I feel your half backs were poor and there wasn't much else around the park. You won for two reasons. One was how committed your team is, and the fact they want to play for each other. The second reason is Brad Drew.
Any SL team that shows commitment will beat us at the moment

we were poor and just got beat, so if we had played well we would have got the win. Same with Rovers , Castleford, Salford (cup) Harlequins.
I think the only game where we couldnt have got the win is Saints away. that is why its frustrating - and is purely down to tactics and desire, both of which are lacking, and had we had both, those games above would more than likely been victories

Threads like this are pitiful and pointless. If you're trying to shame them into a decent performance, you're more naiive than I thought.'" Yep........must be!!!! It must be all the listening to some of the 'old boys' that is clouding my judgement........They obviously don't know what they are talking about when they start knocking the current team......and thats just the Ex-Hull players! To quote Don Robson......"Looking around the KC at all the Black'n'Whites......i'd have taken a bloody hammer onto the pitch to beat the Robbins just to please them." !
Its very rare that I EVER knock my team.....But something needs sorting and i dont think sacking Rich Agar is a solution.
