Quote: His Bobness "Let me get this right. You seem to be saying;

Losing to your fiercest rivals. For the sixth time in a little more than 2 years. No problem.

Promising young player gets serious injury. No worries that's OK.

Signing a wife beating criminal awaiting sentence who has been sacked in disgrace by previous club. Fine.

Fans having a moan on a message forum. HANG THEM!

If you should ever become aware of your problem then I would be happy to recommend a suitable counsellor.'"

OK. shortest resignation in history but to justify myself

I am gutted to lose ,especially to hkr who ,as a club I despise

Iam desperately sorry for Tom Briscoes injury for both his sake and the clubs

I think the signing of Reardon is questionable to say the least

I agree with you on all accounts, it seems everytime we lose a game there's this dirty great list of people/players who they would like to see shot.

I also hate losing to anyone, never mind that lot from the other side.
But my wounds are healing and the scars are fading, unlike others which are gaping wide open, oozing a sour puss and are still very, very prominent.

If Reardon had signed for 'another' SL team and we were struggling for players there would be some people asking why we didn't sign him.

And NO I don't condone what he has done, before I'm accused of doing so.

I would not have questioned why we didn't sign him at all. If anything, I would have questioned with anyone signed him. This signing has sent out some terrible messages to the RL world, and shows how desperate we are. I would rather have promoted an U18 to the wing, ala Tom Briscoe last year versus Warrington, than this signing.

I can understand people having a go about the team as a whole but when they start having a slag-of-athon against individuals that's what i don't like. The list is endless of people who have been subject to witch hunts by our fans - Blacklock, Calderwood, Lee, Dowes, Dykes et al.

I post about individuals when i do i try to keep it to their abilities and technical skills (although i certainly aint no expert myself), i'm not in the know, i don't know what goes on behind the scenes or off the pitch.

We are all hurting and we are all annoyed but we all need to back the team a 100% - why? Because if we don't no one else will.

There isn't anyone of that quality, or even near it.IMO.

Did we show commitment yesterday? No we didnt, apart from a 20 minute spell in the second half.

When we did play with energy we didn't seem to have a clue with ball in hand and no organisation what so ever. Players didn't know where to run or have any set plays close to the try line.

Its been like this for the last 3 or 4 weeks and just not good enough.

Watching a forward take a ball from a near standing start and run into a wall of defenders and see how long he can stay standing for isn't my idea of Rugby League.

Now this isn't a rant because we've lost a game. The way we've been playing is simply boring, predictable and ineffective.

To add to the insult to read todays paper and see Agars comments of 'we're not a million miles away'. Richard get a grip pal we're atrocious. If under your coaching good players haven't the confidence to pass a ball down the line then something is wrong.

The worst thing this weekend is signing Reardon, when he's on his way to the big house.

What a four king joke

I don't know if he will be imprisoned, but by joining Hull who have just launched this project for working with the perpetrator - not the victim, admitting he was wrong, apologising and saying he would work with any community schemes we have, he may have just saved himself a sentence. Hull as a club cannot say they back a scheme for working with the perpetrator and then refuse to sign someone because of their crime.

I do not condone physical violence at all.

Who had the gun to their heads forcing them to sign him? They had a choice in this. It's nothing to do with "refusing" to sign him

Indeed. You would hope that should Reardon avoid a custodial sentence on 23rd then he becomes involved in the Strength to Change campaign.

The figures on domestic violence are shocking - 25,000 female victims a year in Hull alone, which suggests something like a quarter of all women in the city.
