| Sounds like a good win and some teams we will really fancy our chances against if we get them at home still likely to be in the next round

| Thought Abdull did pretty well, tbh. He got stepped once which was his one mistake. Last three games we've scored points and looked vibrant when he's come on, can't just be coincidence, can it?

| Quote: ccs "Thompson did look bad, Ellis has a dead leg and Sa a "stinger" which should be ok.
Makes the last 20 minutes the more impressive when you consider these 3 interchanges were lost.
For anyone who missed the game, Thompson managed to do a backward roll which appeared to do his neck no good at all. Good to hear he's ok.'"
I was sat behind the bench and they strapped Ellis's leg up, he tried to warm up on the side of the pitch. But he immediately shook his head to the bench because you could see in his face he was in pain as soon as he tried to run on it. Hopefully it won't keep him out too long

I agree he had a good stint, though thought Whiting had a brilliant game. Really made a difference and gave us options. A cracking cup game, loved it. Saw Sir Bradley Wiggins racing on his bike on the way back to Leeds too which topped the day off.

| Quote: easthull fc fan "You are always right, wish you was in charge.
There was nothing wrong with what I said and just because we got a result doesn't mean that what I thought should/could have being the selections wouldn't have done any better. Personally I think it would especially Yeaman being dropped whom aside from jumping and catching a high ball for the first time in years was again bang average and I still think Cunningham should have been used as interchange.
Anyway, ignoring your pathetic trolling attempt as usual I was very impressed at the overall improvement in attack, it showed that when we do put the ball about, get some dummy runners, offload a bit that we can be an attacking threat. The first 20 minutes were fantastic, caught Cas cold and we looked like we might put them away in the first half.
Sloppy defending/decision making (Yeaman) allowed them to score and whilst 16-4 up at HT there was a nagging doubt.
Start of 2nd half and it looked like Leeds all over again, they scored again through allowing easy yards upfield then not dealing with a kick (Yeaman..again) but for a massive effort by Pryce, Naughton, Talanoa to get the Cas winger into touch the result could have turned around as at that point as Cas had all the momentum. It was a game changer for me. We managed to hold them out again and then score. Cas forwards looked knackered and our kicks were very good for the most part but yet again no attempts at 40-20s when there are acres of space behind on the 4th/5th?
Naughton showed a great turn of speed going around Tansey (in time he'll learn to step inside and make the FB look a total tool but that's being really picky...lol) Watts had a great game, Mini again, Rankin, in fact the whole team was the best I've seen for some time as an overall package. Sorry but Yeaman needs dropping, yes he got a try and he made a couple of telling tackles but for the most part he's a liability.
Also somewhat worrying was our line speed in defence, really allowed them to make easy metres time and again. BUT the effort on show was easily in the top 2-3 this season, there was a belief in attack that has been lacking for 95% of the season and most of last season too.
So after a nightmare journey up Thursday on the A1 courtesy of some numpty and his fresh fruit lorry it was well worth the journey.
Congratulations to Radford and the team, a thoroughly deserved and entertaining win.

| Just seen Radfords after match comment on the BBC page.
Quote: Lee Radford ""Curtis Naughton got his chance again today and has taken it with both hands, it's his place to lose now.'"
This sounds promising...

| At last it appears we ARE able to deliver a grinding performance when we are up against it. At 16-14 I was really nervous as Cas looked on top and we've all seen us "throw it away" before from winning positions. But to my great satisfaction we just battened down the hatches for 10 minutes and just rode it out till the tide started to turn. Agar and Gentle teams could not do that consistently.
In our 2 previous games we have also had to come from behind and find a way to ride out the storm till momentum shifts back to us for us to go on and win the game. Then today we had to just dig in when Cas were running hot and sure enough the momentum gradually changed in our favour and we never took our foot off the throat again to win convincingly a game we could have once lost.
This team is learning how to win matches, and learning that SL opposition will have their moments in a game, its just how to deal with that and wrestle it back, not by scoring on every set, but by building through each, cutting out the mistakes in the process and kicking well. We have the leaders and kickers to do this now.
This may not be a watershed moment for our team but it could be, If the game management penny hasn't finally dropped then it is just about to topple.
Radders is a young coach and he is progressing really well and his team is listening and learning from mistakes and defeats as well as the victories. Great performance Hull FC you learning fast how to find a way to win.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

| Well,I missed the match as I was getting fed up with it all and bored with dire rugby and thought I'd stay away as I have a pass and missing home games is pointless. This wasn't a knee jerk reaction as I felt same last season and thought enough was enough but the ins at wire and yesterday have got me thinking that Radford may just be getting it right after a steep learning curve and I admit I wanted him out and would still do if we miss the 8 but if he succeeds, then I will hold my hand up and admit I was wrong.

Your arrogance is quite something. The reason they think they should be competing with us is that they don't see us as a "big" club as you would put it. The fact you take pleasure in trawling through "little" clubs forums to ridicule their fans I find rather embarrasing.

not arrogance, its was to compliment their away support at first! but found nobody around! plus they dont think they should be competing with us, it was a divine right to beat us yesterday as we are seen as a bottom 4 team! now thats arrogance! the big/little club comment was tongue in cheek and i didnt ridicule any of their fans as i only read what they say!
your telling me that you dont venture onto other clubs forums to see what they have said about games!? i find that hard to believe

It was his place to lose when playing on the left wing.he did well and was unlucky to be dropped but of course had to make way for Yeaman.
Get rid of Yeaman,Sa back to centre and Naughton or Michaels on the left when Lineham is fit

I very rarely look at other clubs forums as I don't have the time.
I'll accept that your "little" club comment wasn't serious, but I've read through the posts on ther and out of all 10 there's only 1 which is dismissive of Hull
"Hull arent even a good team and they hammered us. All involved as cas should feel humiliated"
and this is countered by
"IMO Hull FC are a good side that are under performing. I think they are the side that should be breaking into that top 4, not us. Their squad is good and especially with a few young home grown players in there."
All the other posts are about their club, coach and players. I don't see anyone saying they've a devine right to beat us.
