Pearson said that Wembley was unacceptable.. Gentle said after Wembley that he thought after the way they played in the first half that they couldn't play any worse when in fact they did and when they played wigan the following week they would you the wembley gameplan as the players jsut didn't follow it. So radders as you were the assistant coach, is that true and if it is why did they ignore it. Are they just thick or was it too complicated?. As they played even worse second half, did you say anything to the players at half time? If you did, it certainly didn't work, so why should the players follow anything you say now that your head coach?

Be a bit difficult when I'm at work in Qatar. The point be made is Pearson saying one of the reasons for removing Gentle was due to Wembley, as Radford was assistant coach is he suddenly totally blameless for that?

Poor decision IMO for many reasons but primarily that the club has lurched from crisis to crisis since 2007 which has been overseen by an administration who didn't care and a succession of inexperienced head coaches who have been in their fist appointment in the position, none of whom have been up to the job.

We desperately need someone in with experience who can steady the ship and put some proper systems in place to set us up for the future. For me, the least experienced, youngest coach in SL shouldn't be learning his trade at a club which has the potential to be in the top 3 best supported clubs.

It's pearson's decision but for me he's put the future of the club in the hands of someone who has less than 2 years experience as an assistant coach and that to someone who has been a failure in the position. Very risky strategy and one which has maybe a 20% chance of coming off.

Any idea how long his contract is?

If gentle is deemed not good enough and as was published in the star I believe 3 months ago,he would be sacked at the season end and this is what has happened,is the guy who published it,either in the know,a good guesser or what.Surely if this was the case and gentle knew,this would give radford more influence on the situation,and the worst performances were at the back end of the season,c/c final,saints at home and huddersfield. I wonder how he knew ?
