| Quote: Staffs FC "FC 26 Cas 6
McDonnell is on the end of a lovely move from FC as quick hands spread the ball to Briscoe. He runs down the wing, draws the full back and plays it inside to the supporting McDonnell. Holdsworth adds the extras. FC 26-6 Cas.'"
Staffs.... with all your commentary this afternoon, I was just waiting for you to mention about anyone coming in from washing the car or doing the garden. It was as if Triple D was live on the forum.

Heremaia ran with the ball well with his team on the front foot and gaps to go at. Seymour didn't have so much opportunity IMO, but still did well at times and I actually thought he kicked ok. I just thought that the main difference between them today was the players around them and the advantages that brought (ie Heremaia enjoyed more possession and more space to run into). One played in a potential top 4 SL side, the other amongst academy players and trialists. I didn't think there was much between them considering.'"
True, but we never really saw Seymour run at the defence or make any breaks last season.
Hope I am wrong and he gets a chance to show us next week how we will go with Holdsworth, seems opinion was split on him today. At least its good to have options.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

and taking a few off Jamie Ellis, he's slimmed down a bit, doesn't look like a prop anymore

And comments at the fans forum about him. Bench spot or starting at 13 I would say.

I don't personally think that's entirely true. Certainly in the first half of the season at least he not only ran at the defence but went through it and got himself some tries.

I hope so, too. I'm not saying he's one of the best halves in SL, I just don't think he is as bad as is made out most of the time and could be much better given the chance this year. I thought he was pretty good last year until a combination of factors sent his form nosediving, notably McKinnon leaving, a knee problem, then his chairman having a pretty open pop at him.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Have to say I thought I'd watched a different game when read some posts saying Seymour was poor. I honestly thought he played quite well in a first half side that was pretty inexperienced and up against a fairly strong Cas line up. I would like to see Seymour partner Holdsworth against Rovers in a strong line up before condemning him.
I thought his passing was pretty good too along with his kicking.
I was impressed with Green as he looked very strong and all the better for the experience of last season. I thought the 2nd half started well after a good platform laid by the younger first team players. It also looked as though they took their foot off the gas after 25 mins.

Can't remember the rest to be honest. I know Yeaman started and then came off after 5. Don't know who for though.

Thought green looked well too. Old fashioned prop in a way that has strength and size but seems a bit immobile and lacks skill. Defence is great though!!
