If we knew for certain defeat would mean the end of him it would be a price worth paying IMO. But we don't so I'm hoping as always for a Hull win.'"
Couldn`t agree more, a lot of people on this board seem to think by losing on Sunday Agar`s tenure at the club will be over, i personally think the club will give him a bit longer to try and turn it around, although i can`t say i am confident of getting a result at Huddersfield i always hope that we can get a result and always shall while i support the FC.

Yes I have to say I would in these circumstances, I realise plenty won't like that view but I can't help seeing past the simplistic idea that team wins = good, team loses = bad. Obviously that wouldnt make me pleased if we did get beat but its a necessary evil IMO.
As you mention I am a fan and deep down I want the convincing margin and radically improved performance. But truthfully in the whole time Agar has been in charge when playing the top 5 and Rovers, how many matches have we achieved both those things at once? You don't even need one hand to count them, so I'm not holding my breath.

Agree and I'm not having a go at anyone that's hoping for a win, but IMO with every defeat the clock ticks a little faster for Agar and I'm personally happy to settle for that than let him and the board have an excuse to continue to serve up mediocrity for even longer.

The only downside is that the board are more likely to give him at least 10 games of the season. If we lost 8/9/10 of those the season is as good as over anyway.

It's Agar's tactics and implementation that are the problem and are the reason we haven't looked like winning convincingly for over two years. We only ever scrape a win or play ugly rugby to drag out a victory. That won't change on Sunday.
Whether we win or lose on Sunday is therefore irrelevant to the problem as most people now understand it - Agar's inability to plan for each match individually and use the skills of his players to the best advantage.
We need to win on Sunday before the competition runs away from us entirely. No point in a new coach taking over half way through the season if we're on nil
points - he could never hope to pull back. As Hullbg points out - Agar'll get until about Easter. If we lose all of those matches we've had it whoever's in charge.
Agar will continue to churn out dull unconvincing rugby either way - this ought to be enough for him to go. It will probably be enough for people other than addicts like me to keep away and the board will finally act.
So I'll be behind the team and shouting for a win on Sunday. My doing so will have no effect whatsoever on Agar's competencies.

I see your logic but I disagree about Agar getting until easter. I agree that was probably originally the board's view but I think their hand can be forced earlier with a run of defeats. Imagine if we lose on sunday and then get done at home by crusaders, with the inevitable defeat to Wigan that will follow thats 0 from 5 and I believe that could easily be the tipping point.
As for the season running away from us, two seasons ago we managed to win our first five and still miss out on the playoffs, I'm sure with a proper coach in place we could achieve the reverse of that.

| I think that hull can win on Sunday as Brough has stated in the HDM hit hull when they are down okay hull are a bit low at the minute but I think giants could be going into this a bit to cock sure of themselves look what happened to KR when we was cock sure, only when the hooter goes at 4.40 on Sunday will you know if it is just a blip or you really do have a cr@p coach.

| Agar should put his hand up and admit he is out of his depth,he said he would do that when he signed his contract that if he was not up to it ,he would do the decent thing,
The players need to stop talking and start delivering,Sean Long is a shadow of the player hull signed,I would not bring richard horne straight back in either for the hudds game, too much too early
I obviously want hull to win but if it means agars imminent departure then a loss will be worth it
