| Watching Saints they look as though it's a return to form. Be very hard to beat.

| If Clifford does miss next week then I'd go with McNamara.
Who knows, he and Truman may just click like Yorke and Cole.
McNamara is our back up half, so play him.

I think Smith has given up on that one

| I know we have or appear to have poor discpline, but the ref's seem to me to be super quick to ping us for anything and everything. But never seem to be as quick with our opposition.
Am i alone on this?

Agreed and to be honest just don’t see Lovodua getting a game in the first team again unless we have an injury crisis.
Clifford will definitely be out so would think it’ll be McNamara in for Clifford as he’s the back up half and can’t see point in moving players around.
Think it’s going to be too big an ask next week, with Clifford we had a chance in a one off game but we just don’t have enough without him.

| Leigh are 3rd. Is it me or has this story been undersold? After years of promoted clubs barely surviving, being so compromised in terms of squad assembly, this is nothing short of sensational. I know their owner's style is a bit marmite but this is an amazing position for them to be in. Question is what can be learned?

| I think tonight shows us that we need to get a top replacement for big Chris. Without his presence in the team, we fell short.
He's certainly a player that has the plays in him to turn that result in our favour. Like he did last week.

| Disappointing to lose Clifford to a late hit, amazed not one of the officials on the pitch saw it but managed to see every other tickle around the ears (from both sides), no doubt the guilty Leigh player will get banned for their game v York, whilst we miss Clifford v Saints and half of tonights game.
Still need to cut out the silly mistakes and daft penalties, and please, no Houghton at 6!

| Having seen the hit on Clifford I can see Charnley sitting out a couple of weeks. Doesn't help us of course.

Don't blame Charnley. Blame the pathetic, dictorial rugby league rules if Clifford misses next week.
I call the rules dictorial because left up to him and the club, Clifford would play.
Chatnley did right cleaning out his opponents main man.

He deserves it, hes spent millions to see them relegated numerous times. The trouble Leigh are going to have is to set up a successful academy in an area Wigan and Saints are already successful in. If they can do that then they will become a SL club for the foreseable for me as at the moment they seem heavily bankrolled by DB.
They cant be far off the record for total points by a newly promoted side either.

Clifford was fuming as he left the pitch.

| After seeing the incident with Clifford you have to ask how not one official saw it. It’s quite a shocker, even if Clifford had lost his footing Charnley hits him directly in the head with full on forearm, it’s far worse than Cross on Coote last week and that was a yellow.
Just shows how inconsistent and poor the standard of officiating is.
Shoukd have been given a yellow at the least. Charnley should get at least 2 games for that but wouldn’t be surprised if he just gets a £250 fine.
It really is about time the officials were held to account.
