Some of the vitriol towards Radford on here is disgraceful in my opinion I like to highlight how disingenuous some 'fans' are.

It was Rankin who took the radio I think, and the match commissioner was indeed unimpressed. I suspect we may cop a fine but nothing worse than that.

Good and very important win, like others have said we must back it up on Friday and kick on from now on. We have plenty of key players missing at least 6 that would make the 17.

God knows how I goy that one in

3 home games in SL now, win all three and things will look a lot different hopefully, obviously beat Sheffield in the cup.

Hopefully get some key players back.

A wins a win and no matter how they come I will take it at the moment. However Mr Radford you may not today be bothered about the fans that haven't turned up today or tomorrow but remember last time you got cocky on Radio we lost the next four games. A few points for you to intake.

1) You beat a depleted St Helens side who took a battering on Friday had no half backs and lots of youngsters.

2) Despite the win we are still 11th.

3) I was here long before you came and will be long after you go. However with the dross you serve up most weeks on occasions I may decide to invest my money and time in other ways.

4) We have seen this stuff far too often, win one game then lose the next couple. Back it up over the next few weeks and you may just get cut some slack.

Fair points. Emotions running high all round. Although on 1) we had 7 out and lost Hadley. Injury situations played a draw for me.

Well gotta say, unexpected but that win has made this weekend finish off with a smile on our faces.
Thought the lads looked much sharper than in recent weeks and we had a lot of luck too which has been missing recently..
I think Lee Radford was wrong to dig at supporters who are worried and worried based upon HIS record as a coach ! one win a grand final does not make but for one week we can again talk about merit not more disappointment ,we can celebrate a good win, against a good side..
The biggest worry to me from this game is some weak goal line defense, to be honest Turner should have been smashed but wasnt..

As the man said , some of us have been with the club longer than they care to remember, through relegations at one end and cup wins at the other end of the scale we have stayed the course despite what some coaches and owners have done to the club no one can question that
BUT as supporters Long term supporters and newbies we all have a right to comment on what we see in front of us..
I am chuffed to bits we beat Saints today BUT i will only consider the corner turned if we start backing this up with more of the same!
I hope we do, but dear we wont.. i am happy to put my hands up if I am wrong but LR is simply not experienced enough , simple as that ...and his comments about supporters shows that more today than performances on the grass..

Well, they have a better squad than us. The point is that the relative dilution of quality was broadly similar. We were missing our captain, scrum half, first choice starting prop, best centre and at least two others who'd have been selected. They were clearly short in the halves and FB but they had a pack with LMS, Roby, Walmsley, Amor, Masoe etc.
