| I did think Cas needed to be a bit more direct at times. The offloading and passing across the line looked pretty but alot of the time it was just passing for the sake of passing and we were able to just hold off and let them run themselves out of space. Thats being very critical though, because they still asked alot of questions and most teams would have been absolutely destroyed by their second half performance. Its the 18-0 that you would be more disappointed with as a Cas fan. The fact they couldnt come back was definately more down to our determination than any poor play by them.

| Quote the cal train="the cal train"Think Roberts was in the ruck and behind the ptb, right in the way of where Sneyd was set up to kick it so Sneyd ran round the back and we nearly scored on the right.
Was that the one where Connor tried to offload and lost it as well? Looked to me like he'd have scored if he'd have reached for the corner instead of chucking it.'"
Yeah, I thought he should have gone himself and would have scored

| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"Agree, Washy was immense today but Houghton will bring back another dimension and ease the burden on the forwards. Hopefully this will be very soon.'"
Unsung hero today was Washbrook
I have been critical of Connor but he deserves to keep his place.
Griffin was fit but was quite rightly left out and no coincidence that our defence is better without him.

best team they have had in superleague and they are still not happy
they sound like us!!
'"
Because by our own standards we played poorly. You guys have already rightly said that at 18-0 we could have been embarrassed. Most Cas fans would agree. I don't think anyone is slagging off the team, just questioning where the endeavour of early season has gone.
Well done on the win, second half defence was excellent when many a side would have folded.

Peter Smith @PeterSmithYEP
I've checked. Daryl Powell says Gale is okay, but failed a head test. He has not suffered a jaw injury.

hicks saved cas from a hammering by wrongly sending watts off. After that he seemed to favour cas all game to me. Did we get another penalty after their team warning?
Looking at the stats, cas got 11 penalties to our 9, had massive weight of possession - 208 carries to our 151 (this is happening regularly and we need to cut down on the errors) but made fewer clean breaks, 9 to 7, but their offloads were 29 to our 8.
More pleasing for me than the win was the way we played before watts went off. That first 15 minutes was the best rugby we've played all season and gave me some confidence we can get back to where we were last year (and maybe be better in attack). If we have a fair share of possession then I'm sure we're a match for any team in the comp. We just need to cut out the errors and penalties
