Yes Ellis wont be playing and our other 6 back up second row players will all be sitting in the stand.I just dont get the selection of Yeaman in the 19.
Radford has so many other options in the forwards and with Naughton and Michaels out of the squad a concern at centre would easily have been solved by moving Fonua to centre and bringing Micheals in on the wing.
Maybe Yeaman is going out on loan and out of sentiment Radford is going to let Yeaman on the KC pitch for the last time( in the warm up)

Keeping Yeaman on the payroll just never made any sense from either a playing point of view or financially and this makes even less sense including him in the 19.
probably refused to go out on loan and Radford trying to keep him sweet.
Radford must be kicking himself now having extended Yeamans contract and now finds it difficult to bring Smith in without getting someone out.
Looks like Whiting will be the one to go'"
If Adam was telling the truth at the forum and its cap space that's tight and not money there is no gain in either Yeaman or Whiting going as they are cap exempt, just maybe Yeaman has been ripping it up at training or more likely Talanoa may not be as ready as the club are saying anyway we will know at 8.00pm Friday personally not bothered who makes the 17 as long as they perform

| Hope he doesn't play Yeaman at centre, he has to trust his young players or they won't develop.
I have problem in having Yeaman on the bench, in place if Thompson, who I aren't a fan of, but he should be no were near the backs unless we have no choice.

Against HKR Logan was quiet,Naughton never in the game but Michaels played well so if there is a doubt about Logan then as i said Fonua to centre and Michaels to wing not bring back Yeaman into the squad.
If Radfords thinking is about Logans defence then its a re run of Ben Crooks but the lad needs a chance to play behind a dominant pack and show what he can do.
In this team we want some pace and flair in the backs not a plodder like Yeaman who has been stealing a living for the last two seasons

| The Hull Daily Mail reckons that Yeaman is battling Thompson for one of the bench spots.

| Unless radford is worried about logan and timuavave's defence against the big salford back line, I can't see why on earth he would even consider yeaman ahead of thompson on the bench.

As well as being able to do a spell in the SR, KY could also cover in case of an injury from 1-7. Directly for the centres, Tuimavave could be moved into the halves or to Fb, and I guess either he or Logan could move to wing in an emergency.
Can Thompson cover centre? Probably not as well as Yeaman.

Just dont see it, scores the odd try and makes a break, but far too inconsisteent, thought he was poor 2nd half of last season.
His defence at times is poor and isn't big enough for a prop or play in the middle IMO, I'd prefer Hadley or Whiting there.

It's a concern. Junior Sau running at Tuimavave may be a bigger problem than Logan. Carlos is pretty inexperienced at centre and it's regarded as the hardest position to defend in. I have more faith in Logan's defence. So maybe he's been included on this basis, not that I'd agree with it.
The other possibility is maybe Yeaman deserves his inclusion as a back row option? Maybe Yeaman is outshining Thompson in training. If this is the case, I'd have no problem with it.
Lot's of 'ifs ' and 'maybes'. They're just guesses before some of the usual Yeaman haters jump in, I'm not privy to what happens at training, none of us are.

Just shows how differently us supporters view players, cant agree with any of that, yeh is form dropped of 2nd half of the season, but was still one of our better performers. And as for size, stand him next to the bigger players in our team and theys not much in it, hes a big lad. Have him over Hadley any day, for me Hadley should be getting loaned out

Challenge Cup Winners 2016 (at Wembley) - HULL FC: |

| Thompson was good enough to start at loose forward against Rovers where he had a decent game.
He should start there against Salford or at least be on the bench.

| The 19 shows Radford wants a “pack strong bench" including 1 replacement who can play outside the pack. This will be 1 of either Thompson Washbrook Yeaman.
Throw in the versatility of Fonua, Talanoa and especially Tuimavave and we have cover for most positions.
Should anything happen to Sneyd, then yes it’s a bit of a conundrum but that’s true for most sides if the 7 goes down.
Bench selection is always a gamble and you can’t cover every possibility with 4 replacements, especially if your looking for predominantly Pack rotations as most sides do.
We all see things differently including the coach, and it changes for the opposition and game plan. I think he’ll have it covered to match his game plan for this encounter.
