His defence is improving and he has the ability to put his centre away in a way that yeaman can only dream of. The kid has masses of improvement left in him and I think he'll go on to be a top class centre/back rower. I don't see the same abilities in arundel but maybe truner wants too much and arundel is a cheaper option'"
I have heard he has gone - will be Saints left centre next year. Shame really, I think if he had shown this seasons form last year then he would have had a contract waiting for him

After all the development we have put into him to lose him now would be annoying.
This is the issue for us at the minute, I was expecting 3/4 players out and 3/4 players in. However we are now faced with losing Manu, Turner, Briscoe, Ogre, Moa, McKinnon and they will take some replacing no matter how much money we have.
The likes of Pitts, Arundel and Crookes (rumours only I know) just don't cut it as replacements.

Spot on. Until the club make a statement nothing has changed.

Though the way some are going on you'd think the club was crumbling around our ears.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Did we sign him because he looked rubbish?
He has definately improved since he came to us, but then again, you'd hope as he got older and more experienced, he would.

When we signed him he had no fixed position and was unproven in SL, his best displays had come in the Championship.
If he leaves it will be as an out and out centre who has proven himself.

| i'll be dissapointed to see him leave,n i think he will. Iwas never down on him last year to be honest. Could see he had all the tools you want in a centre. Put his winger in with some great hands, scored a good return of tries, had footwork and you could see he could tackle ,just the defensive reading was a worry. But that was mostly down to the teams defensive patterns n tactics or lack of! Only thing thats come out of the blue is the extra yard of pace thats appeared despite getting bigger! Think he's gonna end up a good un,only a good un elsewhere!

Not sure about the last statement, as he is still to convince me he is good enough for a top team, he has played well against mainly lower opposition and had yet to face witan, Leeds, warrinton or Catalans.
Guess we see if it a mistake or not in th next couple of years, happy with arundal who IMO has as much if not more potential to become a top centre.

Agree with that, I'm surprised with some of the downbeat talk about him on here. I mentioned in another thread the other day, and Paul's just alluded to it, if you compare him to Turner at Salford around the same age he looks the better prospect IMO.

| Turner has shown promise, but he's only really got half a season of consistently good performances under his belt. I'd be happy to keep him, but if he goes, it won't be the tragedy some seem to think.

For those who like their stats - these are between Turner and Arundel for last season (where we didnt really think Turner did that much)
www.superleague.co.uk/statistics ... eason=2012
Given Turner played 6 games less than Arundel, its easy to pick who the better player is

Turner was 22 last year, Arundel only turned 20 in August. They're at different stages in their developments, so I'm not sure that says much about what they'd offer you, looking forward.
Right now, I'd probably rather have Turner (long- or short-term). In a couple of years, who knows where there'll be at? It's a massively imprecise science.
