And some banks wont even take your cash. HALIFAX must be the worst bank in the world
Do not go near HALIFAX
(ah that feels better)

Several banks who landlords of pubs and retailers use to bank their takings and manage their company deposit accounts, charge them for providing change for floats etc. Just out of interest have any of the folks who are grumbling about this £10, approached the club about it through the communications channels the club provide? If so what was the answer?

| Quote: FC Wembley 08 "But as 99.9% of other companies charge for card transactions by the percentage (mostly around 2%) this would carry a charge of £3.98 per pass (south stand) and £4.60 per pass (east stand) but maybe you'd prefer this.
Standee... Yes interest free has always (until recently) been just that.. Interest free, no charges at all other than charges to the retailer. These charges have gradually risen to such an astronomical level that the retailer cannot offer IFC anymore and so the banks now offer a reduced rate at the expense of forcing a 'finance fee'.. It's just they way it is.
Strange how you think that charging £10 for spreading the cost of your pass is unfair yet, when i suggest that a hotel in cardiff trebled/almost quadrupled their prices just for one weekend is perfectly fine... How odd?? ...
You are James Rule and I claim my £5!

Can't recall any companies that charge for debit card transactions TBH. And card charges are normally per transaction, not per item.

No I certainly am not, I refer to call a Director and Tell us.
If your refering to FC Voices nor are they a channel that the club has set up, they are a group of volunteers who do their best to try to help other fans get the most out of supporting our club. The group is certainly not there to mediate in arguements on message boards, or take up issues for fans when there is an opportunity to take them up themselves through the channels set up, with the club. often people don't thank you for that!
The club do things that we all don't agree with, often from a commercial point of view, but in the end they ain't gonna consciously rip us off, in the current finacial climate and the way we play sometime,s its simply not in their interest to do that, because if they did, after the deluded hardcore follow blindly fans like myself, few would go or buy season tickets.
Certain people really care about these issues and make their concerns known on here and to the club, others just like to use them to have a go at our management, its what they get off on IMHO. People rant on and on about something on here, but I have yet to see anyone say, I just called 'Tell us' or 'Just called a Director about this and the answer is' If your not happy the channels are there: use them! YOu might not get the answer you want, but in my experience you will always get an answer.
Maybe its easier, and much more fun to grumble on and on on here, and weedle out stuff to have a go about, lets face it ticket prices are pretty fair this year, personally I am dismayed at the fact that East Stand is all reserved (but understand the reasoning behind it), and about the cost of a direct debit, but as an individual neither effects me directly. If things effect you; contact the club.

Some do... but as i have said many time... The companies which charge per transaction are normally a percentage therefor more expensive!!

You are Victor Meldrew and I claim my £5!! But you can keep it as i don't want you to moan about paying up!!
You claimed 99.9% of companies did charge...now you are backtracking....Please list some companies who charge for DEBIT card transactions..
I am not moaning about paying up at all, I am happy with the price of the pass, I am not happy that I can book a holiday, go to the supermarket, shop on-line and NOT be charged for the use of my DEBIT card, yet if I choose to use it to buy 3 passes they add £2 on per pass even though it is only 1 transaction....no matter how much you digress on this issue it remains the same, people are getting ripped off!

I'm not backtracking, you're just being pedantic!!
I maintain my point that they could charge a percentage as that is how the club have to pay for it!! £2 per pass is less than 0.9% on your East stand pass and 1% on South stand. So if they charged you a % per transaction, you'd pay more!!

Those who do not are ALL High Street Stores (including on-line)...All Supermarkets.... Restaurants, Most Airlines, all reputable (abta) holiday companies, most bank machines (even different providers) to name a few!!...In a nutshell just about every-one..you must try harder to support your moan now had you stuck with CREDIT cards you may have got some where

Pedantic, you claimed only 0.01% did not charge for the use of a DEBIT card transaction, I am hardly being pedantic
