| Better 2nd half, didn't think Wakey looked like scoring and we were totally on control before that Briscoe knock on.
You could tell last week took alot out of us and with the injuries I thought we'd struggle in the 2nd half, but stepped up and controlled the game.
Really please for Ed C, thought Fash was good too, some brilliant defence.
Usual suspects excellent as usual.
Last season that would have been a 40 point defeat

| Go slow Chamberlain according to the local Muppet is soooo slow ..Not bad that try was it ......All over the forum when we started of slow....Then bu.gger me he disappears......Anyway again we have proved this year what a dogged full of pride and effort with a bit of cleas thrown in team we are ...For long periods we where second best but ground out a very good win ......Well played lads......Hope the injuries aren't to bad but we starting to pick them up now.....Again well played FC .....

I know some posters will disagree, but I thought Fash had a decent 2nd half
Couple of huge 1 on 1 tackles on our line where he just cut a man down instantly. He has textbook tackle technique for a small guy.

Well not pretty at all but again this team don’t give in and stick at it and take the spoils. We got away with one there as we made heavy weather of that. Losing Cust & Jed in the first half certainly didn’t help but again we didn’t collapse like the sides of old.
Ese’ese was great tonight, Rapana and Hardaker for me were outstanding especially in defence. Sezer again lead the team very well. Think tonight showed Moy is still a fair way off a regular at FB.
Really great effort to grind out the win when not quite being at it.
Moys lack of height, is his only drawback long term.

| surprised Moy stayed at fullback, was expecting him to move into the halves, but good to see Cartwright not going with square pegs round holes, Moy is going to be targeted by teams due to his height, sure he will improve.

Moys lack of height, is his only drawback long term. Drops a lot of high balls and has no passing game seemingly, not top quality sl material for me. Has he ever made a break? I don't want to be hard on the kid but I just don't see our long term full back there in him

| Resilient is what I would best describe us. Complete opposite to what we were last year. So long as we keep that up we will always be in the contest and give ourselves a chance. I would like a more comfortable win at some point though.

| What will John Cartwright’s Hull FC look like? “They’ll be fit, they’ll be hungry and they’ll be enjoying their footy. If we can get those three things happening, that’ll be an improvement from the word go. “The pre-season is the time where you can get most of your improvement out of the squad, that’s what I’ve found in my time in coaching. “I’m not sure what the boys are used to, but one thing I can guarantee Hull FC fans is a fit and hungry team for 2025.”
Not many coaches in any sport have the ability to deliver exactly what they said they would in such a prompt and accurate way. JC is straight out of the top drawer. This is the first time in years I actually believe things are on the up.
A superb win in yet another difficult game. We just need to keep players fit and start better now.

Don't think it's too much of an issue, there are a couple of young FBs in the NRL about the same height. But I do agree he isn't quite ready, only 19 though, so plenty of time. I I do like he doesn't let his head drop, did a couple of really good takes after his errors. Think Rapana will go back to FB next week with Chamberlain at centre, although that might depend on Cust.

If Cust is missing I'd like to see what Callum Kemp can do at 6.
