It's unlikely to be a prop. We have dowes, cusack, luaiki, radford and king signed up for next year. I also doubt we'll release all 3 of moa, thackray, maloney

I'd like to see Dowes, Cusack, Luauki and Kite, with Maloney as backup. Let King, Moa and Thacks go. Play Tansey at fullback and sign Atkins or another British centre.

Luauki is a quota player.

If we've done the paperwork correctly then that should be the case. I'm not optimistic that we're clever enough to have done this.

Thought he was non fed as he'd applied for a visa as a samoan which is why there has been a delay due to his English test

I ain`t so sure as to how many quota spots we have left Paul, originally Lauaki was coming over as a quota player, however he applied for his visa using his Tongan passport so i assume that would make him a Kolplak signing, if that is the case we would still have 2 spots available

If he has a passport from one of the South Seas Islands then he should be a Non Fed rather than a quota.

Waste of a quota spot IMO. I have no problem with having him and Dowes in the squad but not at the expense of signing a more influential quota player. For those saying he is far better than Dowes just take a look at the MOM thread and see who is at the top of that list and thats despite playing far too many minutes. I can see the logic in signing him in terms of his connection with Fitz and the fact he is a model pro so I have no real issue with it unless it does stop us signing a player who would have been far more use to us.

Makes more sense to sign Cusack then if Luauki is non quota.

That would mean we have Cusack, Fitzgibbon and Berrigan as quota players leaving two left.
